Macaroni Pie & Crispy Baked Wings

Come throughhhhhhhh and enjoy this video of me showing you how I make macaroni pie and crispy baked chicken wings. I didn’t use ANY oil on these wings and i love how they came out. You can add oil if you wish to this recipe however it might change the outcome of your wings. The macaroni pie is EGGLESS so for anyone with egg allergies they will be really pleased with this recipe!

RECIPE:

CRISPY BAKED WINGS
-4 lbs of chicken wings
-1 tbsp fresh cracked pepper
-1/2 tbsp chili flakes
-2 tbsp onion powder
-2 tbsp garlic powder
-1 tbsp of both baking powder and salt

-After trimming and washing your wings, pat them dry thoroughly with paper towel.
-Season with dried spices then marinate a long as possible in the fridge.
-When ready to bake, preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
-Thoroughly toss wings in baking powder and salt to coat evenly.
-Line up chicken wings on wire rack and bake in oven at 450 F for 10-15 minutes until you can see begin to crisp up and darken.
-Reduce oven heat to 425 degrees F and cook wings for 20-30 minutes until dark brown and super crispy.
-Flip wings then continue to cook until completely cooked and all the skin is crispy.
-Remove from the oven and either toss in sauce right away and enjoy or serve them plain with dipping sauce on the side!

DELUXE MACARONI PIE
*my grocery store only had boxed macaroni so I used 3 boxes of Kraft Macaroni Salad (the one in the green box) for my pasta. I DID NOT use the seasoning that came with it.
-Approx. 1 bag of macaroni
-3 tbsp of butter or margarine
-Approx. 1/4 cup of flour (add in a bit at a time and use the full measurement only if necessary)
-Approx. 2 cups of half & half (500 ml)
-400 g of cheese (big Cracker Barrel block)
-2 tbsp of onion powder
-2 tbsp of garlic powder
-2 tsp of chili flakes
-1 whole scotch bonnet pepper, minced without seeds
-2 pimento peppers, minced
-1 tbsp of fresh cracked pepper
-salt to taste
-1/2 cup of diced red bell pepper

-Cook pasta using package directions, then drain and shock with cold water to prevent pasta form overcooking.
-Over low heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and mix into butter until smooth paste forms (a roux).
-Slowly pour in half & half, and whisk roux into cream. Heat cream until mixture becomes thicker from roux.
-Add in all the seasonings and 3/4 of the cheese (reserve the rest for the top).
-In a baking dish, add half bell pepper, half of the cheese sauce and half of the pasta. Mix thoroughly to combine and repeat this step.
-Level off macaroni pie, top with the remainder of the cheese (and bread crumbs if you have it), top with fresh cracked pepper.
-Bake in oven at 425 degrees F for 35-45 minutes / until the top is golden and bubbly and the pie looks set.
-Allow to cool, then cut it into squares and enjoy!!
*feel free to omit the scotch bonnet pepper and pimento peppers if you don’t want that flavour. The ingredients are totally up to you! Have fun with it!
