Meet the Competitors of Spring Baking Championship, Season 7

Get to know the eleven bakers competing for a chance to win the $25,000 prize and the title of Spring Baking Champion.

Chiantae Campbell — Miami, FL

Chiantae is the founder and lead designer of Chic Little Cakes. When it comes to desserts, her Jamaican heritage is her main source of inspiration. She loves to use bold flavors and colors to add a lot of flair.

Laurent Carratie — Mendham, NJ

Laurent is the executive pastry chef at Harvard Club NYC. He is originally from the south of France and is a 5th generation baker.

Madiha Chughtai — Richmond, TX

Madiha lives in Texas with her three kids and husband. She is the founder of M’s Cakes and Bakes and Sweet Fusion by M.

Derek Corsino — Saint Helena, CA

Derek is a culinary arts instructor at Healdsburg High School. He’s been making cakes for 24 years. One of his favorite springtime memories is getting to eat different types of candy during Easter.

Jahmal Dailey — Brooklyn, NY

Jahmal is a pastry chef in New York City. His desserts reflect his personality: minimalistic and refined with a touch of “pizzazz.” He is a really big fan of reinventing classic desserts.

Stephanie DeVoll — Norwalk, CA

Stephanie is a pastry chef and co-owner of Whisk’d Away in California. Her specialty is making comfort desserts.

Veruska Samanez — Cedar Grove, NJ

Veruska is a pastry chef and owner of Cake and Flourish in New Jersey. Her main focus is making beautifully decorated cakes.

Dayron Santamaria — Takoma Park, MD

Dayron is an executive pastry chef in Washington, D.C. He loves to create tropical desserts that combine his Cuban background with his French training.

Natalie Soto — Capistrano Beach, CA

Natalie is a California-based cake artist and owner of Sweet as Love, an online business.

LeeAnn Tolentino — Los Angeles, CA

LeeAnn is an LA-based pastry chef. Even though she comes from a huge family that’s fun and loud, she likes to keep her desserts simple, elegant and clean. Her motto is “Less is more.”

Keya Wingfield — Richmond, VA

Keya is a pastry chef and owner at Keya and Co. She is originally from Bombay and loves making desserts with subtle Indian flavors. She has a black belt in karate.
