okay super good no pun intended supergood okay[Music][Music][Music]okay it’s another day and I thought I’dstart the video because I saw theAsscher just made one of his burritosand he froze yesterday so let’s see howit looks okay so you just made a burritoright yeahhow is it so far have you eaten it yetlet’s see so far so goodhow long did you warm it up for and thatwas enough sweet okay good dealwhat are you two working on yourcoloring you’re watching the video abouthow to draw things yeah she drawn somePokemon stuff looks like oh that’s a bowtie that they’re making right there ohis that what you did right there in thevideo awesome it’s dinner time now andas our other dinners we’re doing someserious cooking from scratch right Meganlet’s to is super serious making somesoup making some chicken and vegetablesoup I’m cooking some frozen chickenbreasts in the pressure cooker and I’lladd those end and then I was thinking ofmaking some sort of bread product wejust realized we’re out of bread almostwell we have a loaf but we have goodtonight though we thought we have had weshould food storage of wheat that’swhich had fur I think we actuallyinherited it from your parents I like 20to 30 years old but wheat is supposed tolast the long about that long but somepeople say it lasts even longer and sowe’re gonna open up tonightso good and if it is we’re gonna grindit up we’re gonna make our homemadebread which it’s our own recipe we’llshare it with you guysit’s really best though we friend isdefinitely best with freshly groundwheat because wheat flour because it’sweird and not very tasty when it’s inthat bag at the store oh yeah also ifyou’re alarmed by the sound of Evecoughing and hacking in the backgroundof any of these videos that’s prettymuch what she always does she’s not sickshe just hasn’t overabundance mucuswhich we try to keep down but I’m notthick it’s just kind of how she operatesand I think sometimes it’s a boredomthing for her so anyways if you’reworried about that don’t be I was I justasked her Meghan how water like thetricks of making a good soup base cuzthat’s kind of what you’ve done here yesI think soup is pretty simpleit’s just like kind of same basicformula and then you just change it upaccording to what you’re in the mood foruh-huh sometimes if I have meat thatlike a fatty meat like a ground pork orbacon or something like that or beef Iwill cook that first and then not maybeuntil it’s just almost done and thenI’ll take it out and with the fat that’sleft I’ll throw the onions and and cookand maybe some celery if I have it andcook that down till it’s almosttranslucent mmmand then I’ll add the garlic at the endbecause garlic burns really easily ifthe fat from the meat isn’t enough I’lladd more oil or if it’s like way toomuch you could take some out but thenonce that’s cooked down I will sometimesadd a wine is to pull all those brownbits and to be really yummy and if I dothat I cook it till it’s almost goneand then I will add my vegetables andlike I know depending on what kind ofsoup it is I decide on the vegetablestonight I am doing carrots and potatoesand so I drew those in there one of thesecrets is when you’re cookingvegetables don’t throw in your Tomatoesbecause they have a chemical in themthat will make it so that yourvegetables never just softened like thecarrots she’ll be like I cooked the heckout of those carrots and they never gotsoft and so if you are gonna addtomatoes one trick that’s the trick andthen the second thing to remember isAdam so your idea at the end secondthing you remember tomatoes have areally powerful flavor so if you’retrying to develop this like you knowcertain flavor and then you got betweenus at the end it might like blow it allout so keep that in mind and then I cookthose and when they are getting soft Iwill add my meat back in and then anyspices or anything like that I mightthrow in some fresh spinach at thatpoint or some fresh herbs or greens andthat’s pretty much it you know then Itasted and sometimes if it’s reallythick I’ll do right seems too watery tothicken it up the other trick I’velearned with soup is I only you want thewater only to come to the top of thevegetables when you put it in theremaybe a little bit higher for youradding the meat after because thosevegetables are gonna shrink as you cookthem and you’re going to have like tonsof rock oh and so just enough yeah and Ilove better than bullion I get it atCostco Costco and they have like theorganic better than bullion it’s so easyto use and so I’ll use the chicken orthe beef and they do have a vegetableyeah that’s it and so we might have itbe like a spicy Mexican flavor might beItalian it might be would be for pork orchicken today is chicken and we werevegan I did the same soup I just didn’tadd any meat and I used vegetablebouillon or vegetable broth and I mightadd pasta or something like thatbecause you could also another trickwith pasta is cook it on its own andthrown it at the very end and don’t donear as much as you think because itwill expand and also overtake your soupand if you’re not leftovers the next dayit’s just gonna be like super fat pastayeah and can i mushy yeah so I mean thekids like mushy but that’s what I do andit I like it the kids always like it ifyou have littler kids who don’t like asmany veggies just cut them up reallysmall like so they’re like dice intocentimetersrather than an inch or using I noticethem as much I use that hand blender tomake it more like a thick soup or theydon’t even really notice as vegetablesin it you can throw it I also when wewere vegan I threw in canned beans andstuff all the time – or beans that Ialready had but it’s a really basic soupand it’s yummy and it’s hearty and on acold spring day like today when it’sreally cheap food it’s yummy healthy Ilove soup it’s probably my favorite arewe done chips I’m adding a drop oforegano now that’s done cooking a littlebit of oregano oil I’m somewhere elseyou couldn’t even do a full drop butterright you know that’s fine like cuztaste wise but like you know droppingbasil like oh it’s too much right soit’s done you want to look in there andsee it’s just a me have already chickenokay that’s what we’re going for is thechick-fil-a doesn’t what it will be likethat kind of suitcase super good no punintended super gaywe’re making some grilled cheese to gowith the soup dad dad cuts you he’s goodat that it’s a good Jude you approve ofthis dinner the grilled cheese nice it’sno night time eat dinnerkids action movie and I decided I wouldmake some cookies because we don’t havea whole lot of goodies and all of ourlike shopping for groceries we somehowforgot to get a bunch of goodies and weneed something so I’m gonna make someChuck ship cookies and yeah because Ilove chocolate chip cookies so the kidsI know how to make them so I’m gonna doit[Music]all right they’re ready well ready to goaway on the pans and then we’ll see howthey turn out I actually had to usebread flour I’m never using cookiesunless the best-selling is screwed upand up some of you might know it betterthan I do but we didn’t have anyall-purpose flour left so does that meando so we’ll see how these turn out but Ithink did you’d wanted to have thechance to scoop one out so that’s eatingdirt dude we use this scooper here to doour cookies you got it you got to pushdon’t use your fingers but kind of pushit against the like the side of the bowlto kind of make it tight in there thereyou goand then just there you go see it easyright one do one more okay all rightpretty good you’re you’re a buddingBaker it’s all it takes man easy okay IIshould I do the restyeah I’ll do the rest do you want to doanyth okay you got to wash your handsall right leaves turn her hands areclean is gonna be easy-peasyokay let’s see ya know if you don’t needto hold on the whole thing just I don’twant your hair hanging in the batteryyou got to get a little bit more inthere do a bigger scoop that’s probablygood you did it yeah you wondered -since jube did – yeahokay good job now dad will do it watchout[Music][Applause][Music]all right these are ready to go in Judehas a volunteered to open the oven doorfor me so he’s gonna do that this is aconvection oven so we can do I just dotwo at a timeI guess I could do three but okay allrightthat are going for about 15 minutes[Music]hmm okay close it happy here they areokay I gotta put them on the coolingracks cuz they’re hotyeah I said that we should put them in alittle bit longer[Music]these cookies are cool enough to eat soI’m like these kids have some cookiesprobably notyou’re pretty cool do you want a cookieyou know one day yeah you don’t want toyeah okay you don’t have to have anyit’s okay oh you do you want water okay[Music]all right we ate the cookies that’s thelast part of it I think they worked evenwith the bread dough bread dough breadflour no we use it I use bread flourwhich is a different kind of flour cameout just fine tastes good and they’repretty yummy so glad to have somecookies I’m guessing that the Quakerswill last through tomorrow and that’llbe it got to make a lot of cookies inthis family that’s okay so success I wasthat didn’t a video and realized Ididn’t finish it that day and we nevergot to the bread making thing thatMeghan talked about but we are gonna dothat the next day so stay tuned for thethe
