hey guys welcome back we are going to bedoing new baked cookies for our finallab in sixth grade so to start I’m gonnahave you each take up your Dutch ovenyour Dutch oven is your largest pan andyou will find this in your pan cupboardwe’re not gonna turn the heat on quiteyet we’re going to combine our sugarwhich is 3/4 cup so you’re gonna need1/4 of a cup and 1/2 of a cup to equal 3force we’re going to add 1/4 of a cup ofmilk to this work we need to remember touse our liquid measuring cup and hetechnique for liquids is to get down iyalevel wait for their wiggling to stopand make sure it is lined up accuratelywhen you get eye level so we have oursugar our milk now we need butter do Ineed a 1/4 cup measuring cup for mybutter no way because I can look at mylabel and there’s already a ruler builtin so I am able to go ahead and put mymargarine right in 1/4 of a cup is thesame as 4 tablespoons next thing I needto do is add some cocoa this is what’sgonna make our no baked cookieschocolate not all cocoa is a candy barsometimes it comes in a powder so I’mgoing to add 2 tablespoons of cocoa thisis unsweetened so it will not taste verygood until we cook it with our otheringredients I’m gonna level it just likeI do for flour 1 & 2 this stuff is verypowdery try your best not to make a hugemess with this so now that I have all ofthese ingredients I’m going to bringthis mixture to a boil on medium to highheatand I’m going to use a wooden spoon woodversus metal because wood does notconduct heat so it will not burn myhands once this boil I’m going to cookit from one and a half minutes I’m goingto start timeing once this mixturereaches a full rolling boil this is thetrick to successful no bake cookies if Iboil this for too long the cookies willturn out dry and crumbly if I don’t fileit long enough they will not formproperly so once this butter begins tomelt we can wait for the boiling processthe last ingredients I’m going to beadding to this our peanut butter oatsand vanilla extract so for my peanutbutter I’m going to be measuring out 1/4of a cup of creamy or Quran Sheikh therecipe says crunchy but since I don’thave any creamy will be just fine we’regonna use a rubber scraper to scoop ourpeanut butter into a dry 1/4 cupmeasuring cup make sure it is leveledoff now protein is going to give us twovery important nutrients one is fat andone is protein it is a plant-basedprotein versus an animal-based proteinbecause it comes from a nut okay mybutters about melted and this is justabout to begin the boiling process howlong did I say oh yes 1 in 1/2 minutesalmost when it’s at a rapid boil therewe go a rapid boil means the bubbles arecoming up and breaking the surfacerapidlyonce they reach a minute-and-a-halfwhich I just did I’m going to take thisoff of the heat and I’m going to stir inmy 1/4 cup of peanut butter butter aswell as one and a half cups of quickcooking oats so I’m going to use my 1/2cup plus my one whole cup this is givingyou carbohydrates to keep you energizedand a half of a teaspoon of vanilla forflavor hmmstir right upnow I’ve art prepared my baking pan tohave a sheet of waxed paper or parchmenteither way you want to make sure it’s onsomething that will allow your cookiesto come off easily I’m going to now dropthese by about tablespoonfuls on to mypaper we’re going to let these cooluntil they have formed their shape if wewanted to eat these right away we wouldstick them in the refrigerator for aboutan hour or two but since we since weonly will be able to eat these tomorrowsince there’s only so much time in theclass we will leave these out and wewill get to enjoy these tomorrow happyyou know baked cookie day
