How to Bake Cookies – Chocolate Chips (COMM 2110)

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks of salted butter at room temperature
¾ cups of granulated sugar
¾ cups of light brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 large eggs
12 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
1. First preheat the oven to 375 degrees
2. Next put all the dry ingredients into separate bowls from the wet ingredients and we’ll come back for these later
3. Then take another separate big bowl and add the 2 sticks of butter and ¾ cups of granulate sugar

4. Add in ¾ cups of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
5. After that you crack 2 large eggs and mix them together until you get a creamy texture

6. Take the left over dry ingredients and slowly mix them together into the creamy texture

7. Lastly add in 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips

8. Then scoop the cookie dough onto a cookie tray

*Tip: Make sure you scoop the dough into small sizes
*Tip: Make sure you place the cookie dough 2 inches apart as they will flatten out and expand

11. Place the cookies into the oven for 10 minutes or until lightly golden brown. The cookies will get darker when you place them on the cooling rack
12. After 10 minutes, take out the cookies and place them onto a cool rack
13. Once they cool down, you can enjoy the cookies!
