Hello everybody! Welcome to YellowSpice! Today, we will be making the widely renowned chocolate chip cookie, but with almonds. In this video, I will also show you how to “bake” these cookies on a stove, and get the same, if not better, results! As always, please feel free to try these recipes out on your own, and make sure to comment your input down below!

1 cup of sugar (white or brown crystal sugar)
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 egg
1 ½ cup of flour (here, I used almond flour)
½ tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, or any snacking chocolate that you have
Almond flakes, or whole almonds chopped into pieces

1. Blend the sugar, melted butter, and egg until it turns smooth and airy

2. Add the flour, and make sure that it is loosely packed (I recommend using unbleached wheat flour)

3. Add the baking powder

4. Mix the contents using a hand whisk until all of the ingredients are mixed well

5. Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract (this can be substituted with rose water or elaichi powder)

6. Take your chocolate and add them to the batter. If you are using snacking chocolate, and have large pieces or bars, chop them up into smaller sizes

7. Add the almond flakes

8. Mix all of the ingredients with a spoon, but make sure not to use a whisk, as the batter, being very thick, might break it

9. Take spoonfuls of the batter and place them on baking sheets (Place the balls apart from each other, as they will expand in the oven)

10. To bake on a stove top, put some parchment paper on a steel plate and place the cookie balls

11. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and bake for 10 min

12. Check them frequently, and remove if the bottom turns slightly brown

13. To bake on a stove, use an old pan and fill it with salt. The salt will leave stains when you do this, hence the old pan

14. Leave the stove on medium flame for about 8 min

15. Leave them for 10 min to cool down. Your chocolate chip and almond cookies are ready! Enjoy 🙂
