There are tons of ways to make this less rich—but is this really the week to go crazy?

Thank you, Ina, for having me. And thank you, Grandma ♥️😇, for a recipe that tastes like you made it and is everything cozy and delicious about Thanksgiving.

Exie Mae Garner’s Sweet Potato Pudding
Ingredients:
4 medium red sweet potatoes
3 cups milk
2 ½ cups sugar
3 tbsp Oleo or butter
Nutmeg
Allspice
Cinnamon
3 eggs, beaten
1 bag of miniature marshmallows

Directions:
1.) Peel and quarter sweet potatoes.
2.) Boil until tender and drain, then mash/beat with a beater.
3.) Add milk, sugar, butter, and spices to suit taste.
4.) Beat 3 eggs and add them in.
5.) Tip the pudding into a buttered 9×13 baking dish.
6.) Cook at 350 for about an hour, until nearly done.
7.) Turn the oven to broil. Spread marshmallows on top and put back in for about 2 minutes until browned.
8.) Yum.”

[Music]Thank You ina it would be more fun if wewere cooking this together but I’m gonnahave you on my shoulder and I’ll do mybest to do you right first for sweetpotato pudding you need sweet potatoes[Music]well here you go into box needs to be alittle bit covered okay bye see ya ahthat’s too much of a boil that’s in whatnot to do these are not ready I’m gonnaleave the lid off now and it’s down onmedium right grandma medium she saysmedia cook fish while we wait for ourpotatoes to soften up might as well takethese to some friends to it like themthree lovely ladies today see happyThanksgiving it’s a good day not to be aturkey joking about youalright thanks ladiesperfect let’s go see how our potatoesare doing not yet keep going and justlike that okay rightpotatoes we’re on it we’re on it don’tworry oh my gosh perfect timingso you boil these as long as it takes tofeed a fish feed some chicken and makeit Rickyoh no the magic we use start yourengines I’ve seen you make that jokebefore I look like a pro I don’t thinkI’m quite there yet but I have thisspecial[Music]lord have mercyokay I think that is good grandma calledfor two and a half cups of sugar that isso much sugar so hang on one cup ofsugar I’m gonna start with about a cupand a half of sugar and then taste itonce I have all the spices in can’t haveyour pudding be sweeter than your pie mygrandmother just says nutmeg allspicecinnamon just to taste so I don’t knowwe just have to wing it I do about atablespoon of cinnamonteaspoon of all place and you see how wedid it ah okay oh so I would just dothat to me allowed to just do thatthat’s really goodyou need to leave plenty of room on thetop bit of marshmallows then in at 350it honestly takes about an hour you wantit just about set so you kind of have tokeep an eye on it it could be 45 minutesI’ll check it back and I’ll check itstill too much wiggle going back in[Music]the moment of truth the most importantthing about this endeavor marshmallows Ichanged it to broiled so don’t go farbecause once these things start to brownyou could end up with a very black sweetpotato pudding yeah that happened in notime that was not even two minutes andthey are just right do not walk awaygrandma xcs sweet potato pudding mmm ittastes just how it’s supposed to HappyThanksgiving I Ness
