hi my name is rosemary as promised I amabout to take you through the process ofmaking cookies from scratch at home sothat you can enjoy yourself with yourfamily now I’m going to share just aprocess with you some of the ingredientsbecause I’m using my secret recipe forthis cookie today and I’m pretty excitedabout it my family can’t wait to grabsome cookies cuz I plan to do somethingwith these cookies I want to invite youin here with me to just go through theprocess just relax and know that it’sone step at a timeand I’m going to share a couple ofthings that I had to do before I gotstarted because in front of me I have aKitchenAid now I never use a KitchenAiduntil I went to culinary schoolabsolutely and fell in love with it andit can do all sorts of awesome thingsand what I did ahead of time I attachedthe paddle that I’ll be using to mix theingredients together so I’m gonna securethat back down and this is amazing so ifyou’ve never had a KitchenAid before Ihighly recommend it in fact I am soblessed right now because one of myfriends who was a chef too because Irecently went to culinary school and shehas not baked in so many yearsthat she is allowing me to enjoy herkitchen a so I’m pretty excited aboutthat especially at a time like now whatwe need to be sharing with one anotherso I want to share the process with youwhile you’re at home you can startbaking some cookies with your family nowone of the things I did ahead of time Igot all of my ingredients together thatis so important when you’re bakingyesterday I did a video just on the spotand I did it live on a different socialmedia platform and I just went with theflow I was grabbing as I wasgoing since I was cooking a dinner nowwith baking you really want to gatherall of your items first that is soimportantgather all the items first and what wecall it in culinary school is missingPlus and you do not want to start outbaking and then you start mixing youringredients find out that you’re missingsomethingthen you’re scrambling around for takejust a moment gather all your items andI’m gonna walk over here and just showthis to you because I’m trying to keepthe camera these are all of myingredients that I gather before I gotstarted before I hit the record buttonso it took some time behind the scenesto gather these items together so theseare all of my ingredients and some ofthem I’ve already put in the bowl justahead of timing so this is what iscalled a mess in class and this is whereyou won’t have anything missing you haveall your ingredients together so this ismy so you’re gonna see me reaching offto the side and I start my mixing so I’mgonna sit down over here and anotherthing with bacon is that you want to mixall of your dry ingredients togetherlike this recipe it requires for you towhisk together your baking soda yourbaking powder your salt in a medium bowlso I’m gonna do that off to the sidethis is my flour going in and let me getmy baking soda baking soda right hereit’s going in my baking powder going inand my salt so these are my dryingredients that I need to whisktogether some using this whisk to whiskthese together so that they’reincorporatedmixed in really well so if you can seethis right here gonna work with mycamera cuz I’m working with what I havealso to it that’s so key so important ifI can just share with anyone use whatyou have use what you have whatever itmay be you may not have all theingredients you may not have the fancyutensils you may not have this or thatbut use what you have and I am verythankful that my friend allowed me touse her kitchen aid and but prior tothis I’ve been doing everything by myhand and what I have and after using aKitchen Aid in culinary school I can’tgive it up my head so this machine isamazingand I’m excited about using it on todaynow that I’ve mixed those dryingredients together I am going to startwith the wet so sit that off to the topand the spatula is very key to this sothe next thing that we’re gonna puttogether before we turn this beautifulmachine on we’re going to put the buttersugar and this bowl and I’m gonna mix ituntil it’s nice and fluffy and once Iget that mixed nice and fluffy then Iwill add in my dry ingredients into thewet that is so key you have to add yourdry ingredients into the wet so so let’ssay it I am getting ready to continuethe process thank you alright so this isthe sugar going inso it’s important to put the sugar andthe butter together and now anotherthing you want to remember is to alwaysroom-temperature your butter so I leftthis out overnight and now I can add mybutter into my sugar and then I’m gonnablend that now with the machine with theKitchenAid oh I didn’t plug it up Igotta plug it up because that’s I alwayswant to make sure that everything is offbefore I plug up anything that’s gonnamix this together I’m gonna turn thisdown just to live my camera I’m gonnalower the camera a little bit so you cansee what I’m doingI’m gonna slow this down just a littlebit so that I can go in and check itdown off the wall of the mixer because Iwant my butter to mix and all the sugarand some of the sugar is at the bottomso I’m gonna go down in here with myspatula and gather that sugar so that’swhat I’m doing right nowand it’s really important to use aspatula because you don’t want to scrapethe metal on the metal so get yourself abachelora set of spatulas and go from there soI’m gonna continue mixing this is thebutter and the sugar and I want you toat least try to get you in there to seeas much as I can what the camera againI’m using what I have I have my phoneand I have it hooked up so it’s doing ajob so you can I can at least try to getyou to see some of it so now that thebutter is mixing it’s coming alongnicely I want to kind of knock it off ofthe blade a little bit somebody put thison high there we areso oh that looks so good in there niceand smooth and that’s what you want youwant it to be incorporated nice and slowso that’s your butter and your sugar sonow we look at that as the wet items sothe next thing that I’ll be adding oneat a time I’ll be adding to my egg nextso by adding my eggs right here andalready I kept them out at roomtemperature but while I was gettingready I needed to put them back in therefrigerator because they were at roomtemperature they’re still slightly atroom temperatureso now I’m gonna incorporate my eggsturn it up just a little bit higher movemy hand out of the way so you can seewhat I’m doing[Applause]and I told you give me just one momentwhile that beat I’m gonna take thatthere and I am going to put on my apronbecause when you’re working with bakingyou will get flour and all kind ofthings on you although I’ve been verycareful I’m still gonna go ahead and putmy apron on and continue the process sothank you for giving me that moment todo that these cookies are so amazing yesthey are I’m gonna add the last egg thisrecipe required to in I get thatmother fluffingweapon together I just want to remindyou at this time to joke no matter whatsay positive and when negative thingscome your way just remember you have thepower to shut it down and you can dothat by putting a positive word over anegative conversation you don’t have toengage in negative conversation don’tallow anybody to take anything negativeover you you have the power to notreceive it if somebody walks up to youand they say something that begins tomake you feel a different way makes youfeel like what was thatyou know don’t we think that you havethat power to not receive it so I’mgonna turn this down for just a secondMike my hands so after I’ve done that Iam about to add the dry ingredients niceand slow and I want to beat this just alittle bit more to bring these eggstogether with the butter with the sugarthey’re moving workingmaking it nice and creamy and fluffythat’s what we want it’s gonna make areally nice really nice job okay ohthat’s beautifulvery nice okay so let me slowly slowlyadd I’m gonna use a tool to add man I’mgonna use this and I’m gonna see so whatI did I took all of my dry ingredientsand I mixed it in a separate Bowl whichis this ball right here so that’s theflour or that’s the salt the baking sodaand the baking times if you make sureyou get all of them mixed really welland then well and then next I took mybutter which was at room temperature andI took my sugar and some otheringredients that I already had in thegoal because like I said I wasn’t goingto share the entire recipe just want toshow you the process and so in thatprocess in that process in that processI am showing you how to make sure wetingredients together and make sure dryingredients and then you blend them intogether slowly so now I’m gonnacontinue to add my dry ingredients niceand slow and I’m using a measuring cupjust measuring interested just a dumpingin just taking my time and don’t gonnaoverwork it cuz we’re building our doughfor our cookie we’re not gonna overworkthis so now right now we’re justincorporating our dry ingredients intoour wet just remember that dryingredients into the wet can’t do it theother way aroundsomething to turn this up just a littlebit higher this way it will not go offof the blade and cause that’s a kids cansing it to me okay I’m gonna put somemore in here it’s coming together verynicely now I won’t bake these today Iwill not bake these today it’s soimportant to freeze your dough you cando it for a couple of hours or you cando it overnightI’m gonna choose to do it overnight Iput it in the freezer and then I’ll takeit out and set it in the fridge in themorning and then I want to hop back ontomorrow and bake them and do anothervideo for you so when I turn it up justa little bit higher because I want toknock that the dry ingredients off ofthe blade so that they’re working nowI’m gonna take my spatula kind of movethis around some before I add any moreis really coming together okay so yousee I am this was my wet my dryingredients that I mixed together andnow just incorporating it into the wetingredients into the butter into thesugar and the other ingredients that Ialready had in hereand the egg so now we’re gonna formixing arms over building our dough thenyou build just slowly you take your timewith it no need to hurryyou know give this up enough time toreally enjoy the process and watch itcome together very nicely this is anamazing cookie so delicious all right somy run about I’ve got one more leftafter this one and I would be able tostart mixing in the other ingredients soI’m like behind the scenes I have towash dishes I have to get everything inplace and I wanted to have everythingset for this video so I can just showyou the process of baking and share withyou the things that I did behind thisthing just please keep in mind whenyou’re baking gather all of youringredients on the corners up just alittle bit higher very good gather allof your ingredients a hammer time sothis is the last one I’m gonna shakethis in here but forgot about the camerasorry I’m gonna shake this alas lastamount inside and set that off over hereand then brush down my sides so this wayI can get all of this to operate it justgathers so we can get our dough oh wowso good okay all rightso now that you see that I’ve scraped itoff the sides here and gonna turn thisback up that’s secure I start and startblending start mixing this togetherI have a watch very much news today thatwas very intentional I wanted to focuson preparing for this video not ignoringwhat’s going on in our and our world andour community right now I just a day offtoday to just really focus on preparingto do this video and getting my itemstogether that was so important and wehad such an amazing timeonline services a lot of churches aredoing online services so find the churchthe right church to connect with at thetime to hear and to hear an encouragingword so I just want to curse someone todo thatso now wow this is mixin I am going toget everything off of the blade yesbecause next we’re gonna add and allthis looks so good can you see it canyou see how I guys are looking I thinkthe camera is catching that I hope it isdoes this is soul creaming so nice yesokay now we’re gonna add and these arethe items that already have put togetheron my missing class so now I am addingoatmeal oh yes so that I’m gonna add oneat a time that’s the binder oh now[Applause]looky yummy yummy yummy bed look amazingdammit our just a little bit higher andto kind of knock it off the bladenow if you ever have concerns aboutanything flying up because sometimesthat will happenyou can put saran wrap around the frontof this I chose not to do it todaybecause I would have to be taking it onand off on and off but usually I putsaran wrap this machine actually comeswith a guard but it doesn’t really theone that is connected with this itdoesn’t give that support that I wouldlike so I would take saran wrap and putaround this for the sake of time I justdecided to not use it as saran wrap butthat is key if you are concerned aboutbecause if you accidentally turn this uptoo high when you first put the flowerin it will be everywhereso you can put saran wrap around hereand just take it off as your as you’reputting your ingredients in it until youget the flower to a consistency whereyou know it’s not gonna fly up again sofly off excuse me fly all over the placeso I got that oatmeal and so I’m at thenext one and let’s get this incorporatedso we’re building our dough we’re addingthe ingredients and that we would thatyou would like to enjoyso right now you buildingwhich is so delicious by the way thoseother ingredients already had insidehere they have mixed them really nicelyas well so I’m going to turn it just alittle bit higher so I can get it offthe blade and get everything mixed innow I’m gonna come down and take thisoff the wall once again sotell I can geteverything mixed in togetherokay our dough is coming together sonicely ahhloving it wow it’s so important to payattention to your feelings if you seesomething on the news and you startfeeling a certain way if you hear aconversation just pay attention to thatwhen if you see your mood trying toshift and take care of that immediatelydo everything that you can to figure outwhat is it that just happened thatcaused my emotions to shift and changewhy am I feeling this way becausesometimes someone can say something oryou hear something and I don’t knowwhere your whole mood is changing so payattention to the subtle things like thatand then you begin to think aboutsomething positive traced back to wherethat feeling is coming from and dealwith that but you do have the power tojust recognize specially at this timewhat you’re feeling or what you’rethinking because that will determineyour next step your next move andnegativity does nothing but bring onfear and it paralyzes us so the veryreason that I’m even here today I’mgonna raise this up just a little bitdoing this video is because I choose tothink positive in this time and I ampraying for people who are directlyaffected praying for my householdpraying for families praying for ournation so it’s so important to keep yourmind focusedand in this time find the creativethings to do and that’s why I’m doing myrecipes because I’m perfecting myrecipes and I just want to share alittle bit on this journey you know andso that if I can help brighten somebodyelse’s day that would mean a lot to meso let me just keep working that and nowwhat we’re gonna do next I need to addjust a tablespoon of vanilla extract andI got the Cure vanilla I’m gonna rinsethis off the pure vanilla and just onetablespoon one nice tablespoon so I justadded that and you’re gonna pop it rightback into the cookies and let me getthat incorporatedbecause I need to get it off of theblade okay make sure it’s indicatedso my next thing is I am gonna take thisoff of the blade you get a chance to seehere we go so I get to take all of thedough off of the blade because I amgoing to use my spatula Oh my I’mgonna use my spatula to fold in when Iuse the word fold just just likeslightly mix in my chocolate morsels andI chose white chocolate for this recipeand you can see the way the dough islooking the reason why I chose the whitechocolate and gives it a really reallynice flavor again everything apre-measureI pre measured everything before I gotstarted which is so important and I’mgonna what I’m gonna do down detach thisand scoot this back just slightly thereso I can fold this end so what I’m doingnow I am folding in look at that doughcan you see that yes yes do you see thatthat looks so good mmm so I’m folding inmy morsels just slightly cuz you don’twant to overwork you know okay rightthis is our cookie dough and what I’lldo with this cookie dough I am going tocreate me a space on the counter and Iadd some extra flour so that I can rollmy dough into saran wrap and shape itinto the shape of like a disc and if youthink about it like the roundness at thetop of this bowl is how I would beshaping my shaping this dough on top ofsaran wrap and then I would place it inthe freezer let it freeze overnight thenI’ll take it out stick it in therefrigerator and then I’ll start bakingthe cookies tomorrow I’ll be doing thattomorrow on video so if you couldremember to hit my because I’m new tothis as far as getting on out my video tomorrow when Ibake these cookies they are so deliciousthat was so simple just remember gatherall your items together first that issoaking just take a moment give yourselftime to gather your items do yourmeasuring and then you mix your dryingredients together you whisk themtogether and if you don’t have a whiskjust use a big spoon but just mix it mixit or you can put it in a ziplock bagand shake it but you want to mix thoseingredientsbecause I actually have a ziploc baghere you know you can pour theingredients and here shake them uptogether if you don’t have a whisk andthen put them back in your bowl and sothen what you get your dry ingredientsmixed together so then next you’re gonnado your wet ingredients you’re gonnatake your butter and a part of that eventhough sugar is dry it’s important tomix the sugar with the butter and then Ihave another ingredient that I hadalready put in this bowl that’s a partof my recipe that was in here and so youcan have your brown sugar you can haveyour granulated sugar and then you mixthat with your butter and then you mixyour eggs in one at a time so you sawthat was a process and then once you youget what we call the wet productstogether then you start to slowlyincorporate your dry ingredients justtake your time like half a cup at a timehalf a cup at a time you know you don’thave to rush your process and then youmix that together and then once you mixin all of your dry ingredients into yourwet ingredients and then you whatever itelse you need to fold in it could bewhatever you want to add to ityou follow that in you don’t need to usethe mixer for that so I’m gonna sign offnow and I just just want to encourageyou I don’t know if you can hear themusic playing in the background I lovemusic and so soothing to the soul I likethe right music because it depends onthe type of music at all I can’t tellanybody what to listen to but I listento music that elif eyes the spirit Ilisten to music that lifts me up thatbuilds me up I don’t listen to anythingthat’s gonna tear me down so that’s soimportant and it means so much at thistime how we treat one another I saw avideo online a clip brother a photo ofsome individuals in their community theyset out a table and they feel that thistable is just full of toilet paperhand sanitizer all sorts of items and asign that says free take whatever youneedthat bless my soul because I know when Iwent to the store I want to say like daytwo of thisno toilet paper on the shelf and I hadto call a friend I had one role here inthe house and she blessed me so thankyou
