How to make Focasia Bread | How to make Bread at home | Spicy and Tasty | eggfree

I just love to walk in the bakeries, admire the smell of fresh bakes and the variety of Breads. Don’t you.
While they may look complex, trust me bread baking is very very easy. Lets make a simple bread full of flavors which will fill your house with the smell of fresh bake. Let’s make flat oven-baked Italian bread Focaccia Bread which compliments as a side to many meals or as sandwich bread.

Ingredients:
Refined flour/Maida – 2 cups
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Yeast – 2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Chili flakes & Oregano – As per taste
Bell Peppers, Capsicum & Black Olives – For Garnishing
Water for kneading dough

For activating Yeast:
1. 1 cup of warm water
2. Add 1 tsp of sugar and 2 tsp of dry yeast
3. Let it rest for 5 minutes

Making Dough:
1. In a big bowl add 2 cups of refined flour/maida
2. Add activated yeast
3. Add chili flakes and oregano
4. Add salt
5. Add olive oil
6. Mix it properly and knead the dough with water as required (add olive oil if it’s to sticky to manage)
7. Once the dough is set, leave it for rest for approx. 15 mins
8. Bread dough will look puffed up now, transfer it to a greased microwave safe bowl
9. Spread the dough towards all corners of the bowl and ensure its levelled same from all sides.
10. Make impression using your fingers
11. Sprinkle olive oil on the top
12. Garnish with bell peppers, capsicum & chopped black olives
13. For extra flavors sprinkle oregano & chili flakes
14. Preheat microwave and use convection mode 200 degrees and bake the bread for approx. 18-20 mins
15. Incase using OTG, bake at 180 degrees for 20 mins
16. Bread is ready.

Serving suggestions:
Cut/slice & serve with any dips (cheese etc.)
Make stuffed sandwiches
Apply some butter on top and enjoy with tea/coffee
