Today, we made cheeseburger pie.
Ingredients:
2 pie shells
2 lb. ground beef
1 onion
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp Tony Chachere’s
1-2 tbsp garlic
4 eggs
6 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
6 tbsp ketchup
4 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 cup crumbled chips
2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 slices bacon
1 tomato
Directions:
Cook pie shells according to package instructions.
Chop onion.
Cook beef and onion with salt, pepper, Tony Chachere’s and garlic until beef is done and onions are tender. Drain.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In large bowl, mix eggs, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Add beef and onions. Add crumbled chips and 1.5-2 cups shredded cheese. Mix thoroughly. Divide between the two shells. Sprinkle a little cheese on top.
Bake 30 minutes.
Slice tomatoes.
Microwave bacon 7-8 minutes, then crumble.
Top pies with tomato and bacon. Sprinkle a little more cheese on top. Bake 5-10 more minutes.
