Brown Butter Pecan Pie Bars | Sally’s Baking Addiction

These ultra flavorful brown butter pecan pie bars made with maple syrup are so much easier than baking an entire pie.

Ingredients
Brown Butter Crust:
1 cup (230g; 2 sticks) unsalted butter
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled)

Pecan Pie Topping:
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
1/2 cup (100g) packed light or dark brown sugar (I prefer dark here)
1/2 cup (120ml) pure maple syrup
2 Tablespoons (30ml) heavy cream
2 large eggs, beaten
3 cups (300g) coarsely chopped shelled pecans
optional: sea salt for sprinkling

  5. Ooooo That Looks Good! I love the convenience of using home canned goods. This is a keeper. It’s going down in the books ✔.

  6. We make a version of this but we make decorations in the crust like jack-o’-lanterns or leafs or hearts or Christmas trees or roses so the kids enjoy it lol. Also normally it’s venison, rabbit or squirrel meat.

  10. Should I bake the chicken pot pie before I freeze it? I cook a lot for my husband and freeze the dinner so when I’m not home to cook, he just goes to the freezer.
