I’ve made some american-style pancakes
today the difference between an
american-style and maybe a European CREP
is an american-style is nice a light of
fluffy
we do that by separating the eggs so we
separate the eggs when we add them to
pancake mix so we have milk little bit
of sugar some melted butter some flour
and then we what we do is we get the
eggs we separate we put the yolks inside
the mix and then we wish the whites so
they’re nice and aerated and light and
fluffy and then we gently fold that
through the mix so that when we cook it
you get a nice risen fluffy pancake

I would use clarified butter no oil or
you can get ghee from the supermarket
yeah even color is very important nice
golden brown even color good shape
obviously it’s got a taste pretty good
as well nice and tasty not too sweet
if you’re having it as just a pancake
it’s a lot better right as nice as
fluffy its moist can put delicious maple
syrup on it or strawberries or whatever
you want
crepes pancakes like flat pancakes they
have they have their place but I prefer
to use them for like savory like filling
them with cheese and ham and stuff like
that so for this purpose I prefer this
banquette going to keep it nice and
simple and a stack of pancakes up one by
one I always like to leave the previous
one for the top boom pancakes then I
would just put a couple of little knobs
of butter on top there and then for the
finale
a little bit of no way my poser
oh look at that you don’t make pancakes
is it for me yeah no okay so you could
use you can make like a strawberry
compote you get some strawberries click
them down you can put some icing sugar
over the top of it could use golden
syrup if there’s not maple syrup yeah
you could make like a kind of sauce out
of fruit and sugar
as you wish yeah wherever you want you
could put some bacon on top of it people
try and rush them and make the pan too
hot or they might use oil it’s better to
use like a like a spray kind of pan
coating spray it’s also healthier as
well so that’s how you get a nice even
color from the spray most people might
cook them too much or not enough or make
them too big so they’re not cooked in
the middle when to flip it okay so when
you when you’re cooking it you’ll see
the bubbles coming up when it starts to
bubble and the outside you can see the
outside starts to set that’s when you
flip over I was so checking the color
check the color I lift it up and have a
little look
