now today we’re gonna be making
something with all these ingredients now
let’s ask our chef mom for a quick what
we’re gonna do today we’re gonna make
chocolate chip cookies okay so right now
this would be a good time to pause the
video and we look at these ingredients
gather all your ingredients and find
your recipe yes so the recipe that we
are using is the original Nestle
Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe
which you can find easily online or on
the back of your bag of chocolate chips
if you’re using Nestle Tollhouse
chocolate chips which we are not we’re
using Ghirardelli
and this recipe comes from Nestle so
shall we start yes okay so what’s our
first thing we’re gonna add so the first
thing is the butter we’re gonna start
with butter but you need to start
room-temperature butter or not
refrigerator temperature butter so you
might want to let it sit up yes you want
to let your butter sit up for probably
an hour before you start and you can use
either a stand mixer or a hand mixer if
you don’t have one of these you’re using
a hand mixer it’s even more important
that a butter be room temperature
so you start with two sticks of butter
[Music]
Oh
all right so you be here that guy’s but
you can do you want to come over here
and take a peek in the bowl
[Music]
if you guys been here before you need to
let the mother become nice and smooth
before he turns it off and now that’s
happening the next thing we’re going to
have is are two kinds of sugar so we
need our 3/4
[Music]
you’re 3/4 cup with white sugar
important
[Music]
not the lecture right now so now realize
that our patients go we’re gonna let
that go while we measure out our let’s
start with the open bar
and you can see the sugar and the butter
coming together in there
cleaning cleaning the butter and sugar
[Music]
now the brown sugar you want to pack it
in the cup
okay and we’re gonna scrape the bowl
scraping the bowl is very important when
baking anything because yes make sure
that you get everything mixed evenly
you know I pull it I pulled it down
you gotta get everything down there so
it all mixes together nicely otherwise
you have chunks that are not mixed and
they won’t bake correctly oh you want to
dump this brown sugar in people
[Music]
and the milk
so we’re going to add our killing in
vanilla I’m gonna bring back
so make sure to scrape your bowl so that
you can get it all mixed in now used to
cracking it just crap into a bowl so you
don’t get any shell I’m gonna crack them
through this okay crack them right in so
you do the eggs one at a time and if the
eggs are at room temperature that’s
better too but
attachment
all right
[Music]
that’s right boy we always need to do a
fitness
yes
[Music]
all right
I normally like measured at the bellow
but the vanilla is liquid we need a
teaspoon well we’re gonna do the vanilla
later because we need our teaspoon for
dry ingredients okay no you said once
you know it
once you use your measuring all right
let’s get our flour and our baking
[Music]
Oh
and then not interesting that I’m going
to do it
[Music]
all right so we still need all right
good job buddy making you scrape the
ball so that it stuff at the top instead
of the bottom who looks the same right
so now that we’ve done all of our dry
ingredients we’re gonna do our teaspoon
of vanilla well I mean we’ve measured
all of our dry ingredients all right so
now we’re using our teaspoon of vanilla
make sure you still have that 1 cup of
flour all right we’re gonna mix this
vanilla in before we add more dry
ingredients or else it would get all um
being weird
no numpy and with it
we are ready
good chocolate is always the key to know
the whole bad guys’ member pull back
separate cute
okay so now we’re gonna do just a little
bit of mixing with our spatula to get
make sure that chocolate chips are
evenly distributed and then we are going
to scoop this out onto a baking sheet
and then we’re gonna let it chill the
recipe I don’t think the recipe says to
let your cookie dough chill but you
really need to that is how you get a
good cookie again optional but if you
want a good cookie you should probably
let it be otherwise if you just if you
take this warm cookie dough and you
start making cookies with it they’re
gonna be really flat and they’ll still
taste good but they’ll just be really
flat all right
you I think now would be a good time to
pause cuz we need to get our cookie
sheets okay three two one one alright so
now you need to get with parchment paper
parchment paper baking sheet baking
sheet and I have a number 24 scoop you
can use whatever scoop you can use just
try to make them trim it your cookies
even this is nice because it makes them
all exactly the same size so they bake
and exactly the same and then we are
going to let them chill for about an
hour and we will preheat our oven to
what our recipes say 375 Fahrenheit 375
degrees
hi guys alright so now that we have our
frozen cookies or a chilled cookie dough
our total cookie dough we’re gonna take
these and we’re gonna take a look into
the oven so so it’s important to note
that all the cookies needs space because
they’re going to spread out so I like to
do nine cookies per cookie sheet and I
also really like to use parchment paper
so they don’t stick to the pan all right
now we’re gonna go in here them in the
oven and we’re gonna set the timer for
eight minutes and then we are going to
wait we’re gonna flip them after that
goes off we’re gonna rotate the pan
halfway and we’re gonna cook them for
probably six maybe seven more minutes
and then pull them out let them cool and
it’ll be time to eat oh wow look at
they’re a lot flattened yeah and then
we’re gonna set it for six more minutes
alright so make sure to set your timer
for six more minutes after you flip them
around
alright we’re taking the cookies out way
up to his staff because they’ll get to
over it you know these are actually
probably gonna be perfect if you liked
they could have gone one minute less
some people like brown cookies you your
dad likes them a little bit more Brown
see this one looks perfect to me because
it’s gonna be nice and soft in the
middle
perfect there you have it let them cool
and then eat so how long are we gonna
let them cool for huh probably 20
minutes or as long as you guys can
handle it so we’re gonna wait for 20
minutes and we’ll come hi guys so now we
have finished the cookies
now you can do really good alright see
you on next week’s video
