UBE CHEESE PANDESAL! //We tried baking one of the FAMOUS FILIPINO BREAD for the first time!

We tried baking together for the first time! Please don’t criticize us! 😂

UBE CHEESE PANDESAL
DRY INGREDIENTS:
▪️3 CUPS FLOUR
▪️1/4 CUP POWDERED MILK
▪️1 TSP SALT
▪️1/4 CUP OIL
▪️CHEESE CUBES FOR STUFFING/FILLING
▪️ CRUSHED GRAHAMS FOR COATING

YEAST MIXTURE INGREDIENTS:
▪️2 TSPS YEAST
▪️1 CUP MILK (WARM)
▪️1/2 CUP SUGAR
▪️2 1/2 TSPS UBE FLAVORING
▪️1 PC BEATEN EGG

INSTRUCTIONS:
▪️DISSOLVE SUGAR IN WARM MILK THEN ADD THE YEAST.
▪️SET ASIDE AND LET IT SIT FOR 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL THE YEAST BLOOMS.
▪️ONCE THE YEAST MIXTURE IS READY, ADD THE UBE FLAVORING AND STIR VERY WELL.
▪️ADD BEATEN EGG INTO THE YEAST MIXTURE. SET ASIDE.
▪️MIX FLOUR, MILK AND SALT IN ANOTHER BOWL.
▪️POUR THR YEAST MIXTURE IN YOUR FLOUR MIXTURE AND STIR WELL.
▪️ADD FLOUR IF THE DOUGH IS TOO WET AND KNEAD FOR 15 MINUTES.
▪️GREASE NEW BOWL AND LET YOUR DOUGH REST FOR 1 HOUR. DON’T FORGET TO COVER IT WITH A TOWEL OR PLASTIC WRAP.
▪️DEFLATE OR REMOVE THE AIR FROM THE DOUGH AND PORTION IT TO YOUR DESIRED SIZE OF BREAD. REMEMBER, THE SMALLER CUT/PORTION THE BREAD IS, THE FASTER IT COOKS.
▪️STUFF/FILL YOUR DOUGH WITH CHEESE AND ROLL IT OVER THE CRUSHED GRAHAM.
▪️LINE YOUR PANDESALS ON YOUR BAKING SHEET AND LET IT REST AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES.
▪️PRE-HEAT YOUR OVEN AND BAKE IT FOR 20-25 MINUTES. (IN OUR VIDEO I PRE-HEATED OUR OVEN AT 350 DEGREES BUT IF THE BREADS ARE SMALL JUST PRE-HEAT IT TO 250 DEGREES BECAUSE IT MIGHT SMOKE LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO OURS. LOL!)
