all right guys I’m gonna teach youculinarily inept hmm what’s how to cookchicken and waffles all right it’s gonnabe fired[Music]all right you pleb so what’s gonna needfor this recipe for the waffles at leastyou need a whisk a silicone spatulayou’re gonna need measuring cups lobby’sthese little measuring spoons like somesort of like motor I need a 1 in 3/4 cupof flour and you’re gonna need atablespoon of corn a teaspoon of bakingpowder you need one I don’t want mmm 3/4cup of buttermilkand two eggs from home all right getstarted you know putting your flour andyour baking make it all good and then ina separate Bowl you’re gonna crack someeggs and separate the eggs from the eggwhites and brew another egg out and sowe’re gonna put the white in here andyou’re gonna separate it with your hand[Music]you can do this with the except it’s alot easier just do with your hands andjust trying to carefully get it in theredon’t try to try and have to break themthe yolk and that seems good in aseparate Bowland to do it with the other one and thenwith these yolks you’re gonna mix in[Music]that and then realize that you forgotthe ingredients so you got to go getthat so we’re gonna cut right now allright so now you need to get some likesome softer butter that you left out alittle bit maybe overnight and there’sgonna be two tablespoons and you’regonna mix that in with this little likeremote Monsieur oh all right like thatwe’ll play seems just together prettywell there I think you’re gonna put thatin cornmeal mixture ah miss that let’sget together you know you know how towhisk you know made it clicking box cakebefore use your common sensevigorously and quickly cuz don’t overmix it and just mix it until and thatseems pretty good awaits token once allright nownow to this these egg whites so you’regonna whisk these nice timeclick thinkabout life and wonder what you’re doingyou know whatwhat will happenyou never know so you know what is rightwhatbutyou know but I worry aboutNonow what you got to do is to test itbring it back out and if it stays upthen you got some yourself some stiffpeaks there now what you’re gonna doonce you got those two peaks is you’renot gonna put it in here and whisk itbecause that will deflate the airbubbles that you just put in here theyuse misting you just spent all yourprecious time Tony so you can put yourwhisk to the side and you’re gonna startto use your spatula to mix it in put inyou know that’s like butter[Music][Applause][Music]you’re not gonna mix it you’re gonnafold so what that means is you go aroundthe outside of the ball go up and thengo down like this around[Music][Music]up down so just keep doing that you knowit’s all fully incorporated you know seeno white Peaks white pieces still notmixed in let’s go do thatit’s all mixed in and so what happens ifyou don’t mix it in like thisyou’re gonna deflate those bubbles soplease please please fold you fold it inplease fold it in because you don’twonder if tough tough chewy waffles youwant some nice crispy fluffy wafflesmm-hmm all right so now what you’regonna do is put this in the fridge whilewe get our chicken ready so I’m gonnacut and then we’ll go right to that sonow we’re on to the chicken so what I’vedone yesterday before I started fromthis one I mixed some buttermilk likeabout a cup of buttermilk with an egg Iwhisk that together and I put somespices some secret spices that you can’tknow about and if you ever find out Iwill come after you and I will kill youso I put that in there and then I tookboneless skinless chicken thighs and Iput it in there and let it soakovernight and so that’s for the chickenand then for the dredge I put like a cupcup and a half of flour in here and Imixed it with like about a quarter of acup of corn starch and like about aquarter cup of cornmeal and I mixed thattogether and then I put some spices youcan’t know about and again if you findout what do they are I will kill youoh yeah so what you’re gonna do to fireyour your chicken take it out of thebuttermilk mixture put it in Pat it downand then flip it Pat it down and just doit until every single part of thechicken has some dredge on it so you canget it in those nooks and crannies andstuff just mix it around yeah about goodoh yeah one more thing put like ateaspoon of freaking baking soda in hereso it Browns it a little bit more soyou’ll get a nice much deeper color whenyou cook the chicken so I’m gonna dothis and I’ll be back[Music][Music]all right here’s the lightning round ofcookingso first what you’re gonna do you plugin waffle maker and turn your oil onstep out medium heat medium high andalways always always fill your pot ofoil like a third of the way or have toweigh somewhere around there you neverwant to fall it above that cuz then youmight have boil over and then you gotoil all over you might get a grease fireand you don’t want to burn down yourhouse but even if that doesn’t happenand you have to clean it up real quickyou burn your hands so that’s kind ofuseless I think it’s more the two shotsare you trying to get up on thatway yeah that’s there that’s heating upso we just gotta wait for all this toheat up alright so all I needed up yetbut our waffle maker passed so my openthis and we’ve all made waffles beforeyou know the drill put the Pam on sprayit on no spray spray bottom and top youknow the drill take a little scooper soyou can get the excess offget it in there all nice and if itdoesn’t get all around and you getanother scoop and get it in there so notwo scoops should be good and close itup wait until the light goes green againsimple as that all right one more time- crackles I’m account that you knowwhat I’m a comp that put the chicken inalways put it in away from yourself seeand ya see this pan is really that bigso I’m not to wait for itI used oh yeah if you’re wondering – Iuse grapeseed oil because I don’t haveany other oils and grapeseed oil isalright but ideally you would want touse either vegetable oil canola oil orpeanut oil because those are all reallyneutral tasting oils and they all havereally high smoke tips and when you’refrying you don’t really want somethingwith a low smoke tip or you’re gonnahave a smoky level right you don’t wantyour fire alarm going off and getannoying neighbors you know yeah sowe’re just no way for this get off[Music]you don’t I cut yeah all right so it’llbe done when it looks like this nice andcrispy and golden brown so once it lookslike this you’re gonna get a plate withsome paper towels on it and you’re gonnaput it on there let it drain and thenafter that
