Spinach pie made from freshly gathered spinach from our homestead organic garden was Veeeery delicious!! Check out our simple and working recipe. Kids enjoyed it like it was the candy day 😀 Just like mama use to make. Um Um Uum!
We like to make our children feel like they are part of everything that we do. And they really enjoy cooking even if it gets sticky and messy sometimes, Haha!
Maria´s spinach pie recipe
Base:
150g butter
3dl wheat flour
3tsp salt (Not right in the video)
4tbsp (Not right in the video)
Melt the butter and mix it with flour, salt and water.
Put the paste in the tray and lift the paste edges up.
Place it in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Filling:
300g fresh spinach (or more)
200g feta cheese cubes.
2dl of food cream
3 eggs
1tsp fresh ground garlic
1tsp salt
1dl nuts
Whip the eggs and mix the food cream in. Fry the spinach with some garlic and salt just few minutes. Add the spinach on top of the pie. Also add the feta cheese cubes. Pour the egg/cream mix on top of the pie. Finally add the nuts on top. Bake until golden brown in 200C or 390 F.
