The filling is soft and satisfying, while the puff pastry complements the flavor and gives the necessary crunch.
Store-Bought Puff Pastry – 1 pack of 450g
Flour – 1/3 cup for rolling the dough
Potatoes – 2 kg
Onions – 2 pcs
Cottage cheese – 250g
Salt – 1 Tbsp
Sugar – 1 Tbsp
Basil – 1/2 Tbsp
Black pepper – 1/2 Tbsp
Starch – 2 Tbsp
Olive Oil – 2 Tbsp
Eggs – 2 pcs
Egg –1pc for greasing
Tomatoes – 2 pcs
Peel potatoes and grate on a coarse grater.
Add 1 Tbsp of salt. Leave the potatoes for 15 minutes to juice. Then squeeze the potatoes a little. Drain the juice.
Peel and chop onions.
Combine potatoes and onions.
Add Cottage cheese – 250g, Eggs – 2 pcs, Basil – 1/2 Tbsp, Black pepper – 1/2 Tbsp, Sugar – 1 Tbsp, Starch – 2 Tbsp, Olive Oil – 2 Tbsp. Mix well.
Roll out 2/3 of the pack of the Puff Pastry into a large layer. Place the potatoes on the puff pastry.
Decorate with tomatoes.
Roll out the second part of the Puff Pastry into a layer. Cut it into strips for decoration. Decorate the top of the pie with strips of the Puff Pastry.
Cover the pie with baking paper. Bake at 180 ° C for 30 minutes.
Then brush the pie with egg on top and bake for 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
