Pancake Cereal, aka, tiny little pancakes that you eat out of a bowl with butter and syrup, has blown up on TikTok, and for good reason! Nicole and her daughter try making it, both with and without milk, to find out if it’s worth the buzz.

First, whip up some pancake batter. Then load the batter into a squeeze bottle, pastry bag, or even a syringe(!?) to deposit little pancake droplets of about one inch in diameter into your frying pan. The pancake part of the preparation will be ready to flip pretty quickly, so keep a close eye on that pan and use a small spatula to flip them more efficiently.
From there, the cereal stage of the preparation begins. Simply load those pancakes into a bowl as you would, and drizzle with syrup, butter, and whatever else you see fit. This particular cereal doesn’t involve any milk, but there’s plenty of room for creative toppings like M&M’s.

– Hey guys, welcome back to My Recipes.On today’s We Tried It,we are going to make pancake cereal?(upbeat music)- Okay so what it is,if you have not seen the
latest Tik Tok trend,it’s just teeny, tiny little pancakesall put in a bowl with
some butter and syrup.Now Stella, have you seen the oneswhere they put milk in it or no milk?- No, they don’t put milk in it,they just put syrup in it.- Okay, I’ve seen both.So obviously we’re gonna try both ways.We are using store bought box mixbecause it’s not about the pancake mix.And so we’re gonna make a bunchof little pancakes.Okay, my first question
of pancake cereal is why?Maybe it’s just more fun to eata bunch of little pancakes, I don’t know.Put a little bit of both,a little spray and a little butter.- There’s a certain way to
flip it on Tik Tok BTWs.- BTWs.Pan’s ready.We’re gonna cut the smallest
little hole at the top,Might have been even too big.And then I’m gonna start piping in.Oh gosh!I don’t think they have to be perfect.- Yes, they do.- All right, so here we go.In this pan, just our little nubbins.- You have to wait for them to cook fully.- Yeah, they’re not cooked yet.I’ll start another pan over here.Now I think when you see bubbles,just like normal pancakes,you should probably start flipping.You may wanna use like a — These aren’t ready.- Okay.- I knew it.- The first pancakes are never the best,so I guess that goes
with mini pancakes too.- Got it.Yeah see, I told you it would work.I wanna try that.- You gotta let it all in the wrist.There you go.- I’ll try that.
– Okay, so here we go.Here’s just like little bit of pancakes.Shall we taste?- Yeah.They taste different.- They taste like a pancake.Look, I got another bag,I wanna try to do some more
perfect little round ones.- Yeah, like you’re supposed to do.- Now I got a tiny holeand so I’m still just
trying to understand why,but sometimes these thingssurprise me.So the trick to getting
these cute little pancakesis to put it in a Ziploc bagand cut the hole super tiny.The first time, it
wasn’t quite tiny enough.- That’s how they’re supposed to turn out.- And so here’s what we came up with.Bato boom!Now we’re going to build our cereal bowl.First, we’re gonna try it without milk.So here’s our bowl of pancakes.Okay, get your butter in there,and now for the syrup drizzle.Okay, that’s good.All right, let’s give it a taste.What do you think?- It tastes like–
– Pancakes?- Well, it has more of like a fried taste.- Tastes like a pancake to me.Now I think she’s ready for the milk’cause these just taste
like a bowl of pancakes.They are kinda filled witha little bit of air pocketsand they really kinda soaked
up that butter in the skillet.So for that reason,
these teeny baby pancakesare pretty cute.Does it need to be a cereal?I don’t know, but I guess
if they are this small,you would put it in a bowl
and eat it with a fork.But cereal should be
eaten with a spoon, right?Now we’re gonna do it like cereal.- [Stella] That’s enough.- Now I think we need a spoon.
– Now they’re gonna be soggy.- Well, let’s see.Some people like to take a sip of milkafter a bite of pancake.We know.- That tastes like cereal.- You kind of like it with the milk.- That is super good.- Stella is a fan of pancakes cereal.It’s not like soaking
up the milk super fastso I think that’s goodand I think that’s because
of the butter on the outside’cause oil and water don’t mix.Okay, maybe it’s not that bad.I think this is a hardy portion.I don’t think you need a bowl this big.I think it will make you sick.I don’t love milk so I
don’t think this is for mebut I do think this is a treat
