Hi I’m Marta from Travel4Taste.com
where I share simple recipes from allaround the World. And today I will show
you how to make a delicious oven bakedpancake called “Dutch Baby”. With its
beautiful puffy form it’s a trulyimpressive treat great for a lazy brunch.
And yes, I do mean lazy as it takes noeffort to make it. Let me show you ♥ To get
the best result we need to bake ourpuffy pancake at a high temperature so I
start by preheating the oven to 220°Ctogether with an empty
cast-iron skillet inside. And while it’spreheating I prepare the batter. As
always you can find a full list ofingredients in the description box below
the video. This butter is super simpleand I never use a blender to do it. A
trick which will help you to avoid lumpsin the batter is to simply start by
combining the eggs with flour, salt andsugar and only once you obtain a smooth
paste add the milk. Is because the dryflour will mix well with a small amount
of liquids and once you obtain thissmooth paste you can easily dilute it to
get a thiner batter. Now, carefully removethe preheated skillet from the oven,
place it on the stove on a high heat andcoat it with clarified butter. Make sure
that you also get it onto the sides. Ifyou don’t have clarified butter you can
replace it with canola oil but do notuse the regular butter because it will
directly burn at such high temperatureNow, quickly pour the batter in and put
it all back into the oven at 220°Cfor me baking takes around 13 to 15minbut just keep an eye on it. It is
ready when it’s all puffy andgolden-brown. Even though I made it
already many times I still lovewatching it kind of dancing inside the
oven while it’s puffing upand voila ♥ isn’t it impressive?! such a
beautiful result with so little effortnow we can decorate it with some icing
sugar and berries. I hope you enjoyedthis video and if you’d like to stay up
