Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients:

All purpose flour 115g (2 cups)
Eggs 2 each
Butter, softened 113g (1/2 cup)
Vanilla 9g (1Tblspn)
Salt 5g (1 tspn)
Cocoa powder 31g (1/4 cup)
Red food coloring 3-4 drops
Granulated sugar 100g (1/2 cup)
Brown sugar 144g (3/4 cup)
Baking powder 7g (2 tspn)
Milk 18g (2 Tblspn)

Powdered sugar 1/2 cup for rolling the cookie dough

Dark chocolate 1/2 cup I used 58% but you can use semi-sweet. This is optional

hello and welcome back to my channelthank you guys for watching and hangingout with me for today’s video we aregoing to make another cookies it’s goingto be a red velvet crinkle cookie I justnoticed that you guys really enjoyed thelast crinkle cookies that I made thechocolate ones so I decided why not doanother one let’s go ahead and getstarted I am going to start with mybutter and sugar I’m going to creamthese two together first I am going tostart with my butter brown sugar and mygranulated sugar you want to cream thesetwo together first before you add youreggs and for my eggs I’m going to crackthis first before I pour it into mymixing bowl I don’t want to crack myeggs directly into my bowl because Idon’t want to end up having some eggshells in there that’s not very pleasantnow let’s go ahead and add our flourcocoa powder salt baking soda and bakingpowder and mix it on low speed you wantto mix this just until they are fullyincorporated you don’t want to over mixit now I’m going to add my vanillaextract and my mouth and that should beit I’m going to add a few drops of myred food coloring depending on howbright you want your batter to look likeyou can add more or you can add lessit’s all up to you this dough is prettysticky so I’m going to just transferthis into the ball and keep itrefrigerated for at least 30 minutes thedough is gonna harden a bit while it’sin a refrigerator and it’s gonna beeasier for you when you actually want toroll this later oneI have my cookie dough right here I onlyhave it in the fridge for 30 minutes Ithink that’s enough now what we’re gonnado is just like the chocolate crinklecookie we’re gonna scoop this up andmake a small round shape you can useyour ice cream scoop or just your spoonlike what I’m doing right now just likethat around like this have a couple ofthose so what I’m going to do with thisis I have some dark chocolate right herethis is optional you don’t need to addthis you can just do this one with thepowdered sugar and that’s it but Ithought I would add some dark chocolatethat way every time you have a bite youhave that nice little chocolate surprisebecause who doesn’t like chocolate soI’m gonna put a few I’m going to justinsert it like this I have about threepieces of chocolate here okay like thatand then later on when I bake thesecookies you can see that the chocolatefrom inside will like start to melt andevery bite you have a nice littlesurprise so just do the same thingadd a cup of chocolate you can also usethe semi-sweet chocolate for this and itshould be okay like I said this isoptional I’m just trying to be a littleextra as alwaysthe pure another thing you can do if youdon’t have this dark chocolate is youcan buy one of those kisses thechocolate kisses from Hershey’s and butyou don’t want to bake them you want toadd them as soon as you take yourcookies out of the oven this stillshould be hot you want to like push itinside and it should start to melt andthat’s your other option so I’m gonna dois I am going to roll this into mypowdered sugar other people like to rollit with the granulated sugar andpowdered sugar but to me I feel like Ilike it just with the powdered sugarit’s perfect for the holiday seasonValentine’s Day I know I’m late but asan idea you can do this in Valentine’sDayI have my oven preheated at 350 degreesI’m gonna pop this in and it should takeus about 1213 minutes to bake it’seasier to roll the dough when you haveit chilled otherwise it’s gonna getsuper messy and you have to keep washingyour hand every time you roll so this isimportant that you actually tell yourdough for at least 30 minutes now let’sgo ahead and bake this I have my ovenpreheated at 350 degreessee thatgorgeousI can’t wait to open that up now let’sgo ahead and take our cookies out onlytook me about 13 minutes to bake thisand I think this is perfect ready andhere you go I don’t know why I alwayslike like sending up my cookies when Ican smell it from far away okay let’stry and let this cool down completelyI’m just gonna transfer this into myclothing rack look how pretty they areI love making this during the holidayseason because it has a nice bright redcolor so you have a couple of thiscouple of the chocolate crinkle cookiesand some regular chocolate chip cookiesand you have a perfect Christmas cookieoh this just I can’t get enough of thishow gorgeous these look super prettynow we wait see that don’t touch is hotokay I’m just kind of trying to cool itdown a little bit come and sit herelet’s see should we try it now yeahwe’re supposed to wait for five minuteswe’re not gonna wait for five minuteswow they look so prettyokay can you pick which one you wantit’s for youwhich one is from AMI I’m gonna openthis up because to do some chocolateinside you wanna see the nice littlesurprise there’s a chocolate wait[Music]this make the best cookie ever oh do yousee the chocolate mm-hmm you have to gobite in the middle because that’s whereI hit all the chocolate it’s like goinginto the treasure box mmm ham thingswhich I did you find the chocolate yetnot yet it’s in the middle oh mygoodness this cookies you found it ohthis is like the best cookie oh mygoodness oh oh you see that cookie thechocolatesuper-nice hmm and you find a cookie Imean did you find the chocolate that isover thereyummy I think I’m gonna melt yeah
