you[Music]hi everyone we’re making cookies yeah[Music]so first let’s put down a sifter andpour in our all-purpose flour make sureto sift it all the way down because younever know what’s in it then we get ourbaking powder not soda you have no ideahow many times I’ve missed that so let’sget our baking powder and mix that inwith the rest of our dry ingredients andthen we add speaking soda salt then wemix it all in together even though theyall kind of look the same in the bowlyou’re all white then we add our sugarright now that’s white sugar and ofcourse just like anything else we siftedbecause sometimes there’d be big lumpsthat we need to flatten downNexxus our brown sugar which we sift aswell as you can see this one actuallyhas one of those lumpsso we flatten them down now we mix themand leave it aside for now and get aseparate bowl put it into a mixer thenadd in the butter this is the sugarmixture we’re putting in right now andif you don’t have one of these machinesyou can use a handheld mixer or just mixit manuallyanything is fine as long as you can getthe dough basically so now we’re gonnaput some eggs in it this particular timeI may do batches that’s why there’s twoeggs just use one if you’re only makingone batch moving on the next is vanillaextract it gives it this nice smell theymix it all together but this time onmedium speed now it’s time to finallybring in those dry ingredientsputting it all in the mixture and nowfinally we’re actually gonna start usingoatmeal the title of the videoI like shaking yet so it levels out Ialso like putting it inside the bowl sothat if there would be any excess it’sfinesince it’s just part of the big insteadof being a mess on the table just likeall the previous instructions after thisyou just put it into the mixer[Music]usually though we scrape the sides fromtime to time because it just tends toclump up now we’ll actually see somesort of cookies so usually they just usea scoop like this so that it’s the sameproportion every time the dough that wemeet earlier yes or we use it now so wejust scoop it out like this on parchmentpaper or these recyclable ones that mymom bought then use a fork to flatten itoutusually we dip the fork into water sothat if the dough would stick on thefork where if it does the water kind ofremoves it somehow you can also useother things if you don’t like the zigzaggy texture[Music]now we shut up the oven to 350 degreesFahrenheit the Smiley’s are definitelyoptional but they’re nice and it’s alsomade of chocolate I just really likethis shot okay and it bakes for 12 to 15minutes and voila we have our cookiesthanks for watching
