#Raspberry Lemon Thumbprint Cookies!

Join Ms. M and Ella while we make these outrageous Thumbprint Cookies! This is from a recipe I’ve used with students for probably almost a decade — kids love jam — so it’s an easy recipe to teach. The base cookie recipe includes lemon zest and lemon juice, but I’ve also done this as peanut butter cookies with jam in the center — OOHHHHH that’s good!

Ingredients for this recipe are listed above with hashtags.

Anyway, Ella and I had so much fun planning out our day of baking. Of course, her mom was not too far away — using heat and sharp objects in the kitchen with Ms. M on zoom means a parent has to be there just in case. Parents will always be just out of camera range with my zoom video shoots, but supervising from home. During this time of quarantine and uncertainty it’s nice to have a calm, loving, delicious smelling place to go which offers comfort, charm, warmth, fun, and interesting recipes to talk about. We also discuss other recipes kids might like to learn how to bake for the next time we’re together.

You can email the host, Ms. M, at

for additional information about the channel, or to volunteer to bake with Ms. M, or if you have recipes you’d like me to try. Join us for live cooking shows after the pandemic, or continue watching our recorded ZOOM cooking sessions. We realize you’ve been home alone with kids and parents for a long time. You need a break. You need something to break the boredom. You need to eat. And, if you have a counter, an oven, and some ingredients, you can come bake along with us.

You can be a mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, uncle, aunt, cousin, friend, older sibling, younger sibling, or anyone who wants to learn to cook / bake, or you just want to be involved in something with your children or your parents. We’d love for you to join us on our next adventure, too.

Stay safe and stay well with good food and fun recipes.
