Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies: Baking with Abby

Hi! My name is Abby. I hope you are well in this crazy time. These cookies are perfect for a quarantine treat. Treat yo self! Also remember: God is so good. Trust him!

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Ingredients:
– 2 sticks unsalted butter
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1 cup sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 tsp. vanilla extract
– 2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
– 2 cups flour
– 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
– 1 tsp. salt
– 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer. Beat in the eggs, and add the vanilla extract. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

On a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, scoop out the dough into balls and place them 1 to 2 inches apart. (If you don’t want to cook them all now, they are good in the freezer for 4 weeks.) Bake for 10 to 12 mins.

Enjoy!
