Make the ultimate healthy oatmeal raisin cookies at home!!! Follow along as I bake these soft, chewy, and yummy cookies in my own kitchen.
This recipe is the easiest to follow and the best thing is that you don’t need any fancy ingredients. Just be sure to keep your measurements exact if you want your cookies to turn out just right.
I came across this recipe a few years back when I was hitting the gym twice a day but by midnight I’d be craving sweets like crazy. I would eat whatever junk food I could find at home throwing all my hours of hard work in the gym right down the drain. My mom enlightened me and said instead of eating store-bought cookies and cakes why don’t you just make your own stuff at home… at least this way you have full control over all the ingredients you add to your recipe.
So that was it!! Since then, these healthy oatmeal raisin cookies have been my go-to for those midnight cravings I so often get!!
Here’s the recipe, peeps!! Hope you all enjoy these cookies just as much as I do!!
1 cup instant oats
¾ cup whole wheat or gluten-free flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
⅛ tsp salt
2 tbsp coconut oil (if you want to make the cookies dairy-free)
OR 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 large egg, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup (120mL) honey
¼ cup (40g) raisins
For all the other instructions, watch the video!!! Drop me a comment and let me know how your cookies turn out!!
