How to Make Marijuana Cookies – Step 1: Making Ghost Cookie Creme Cannabutter

[Music]hey guys it’s dr baconhope everyone’s staying safe out thereand having a good dayi’m gonna make some butter and somecookies for a friendi have some ghost cookie cream iharvestedthis past summer and umhere’s what i have left this is uhsugar leaf which is the trim that comesoffclosest to the bud there’s no waterleaves in here anything that made it inthis bag was covered in crystalsso my standard procedure formaking butter is 220.220 i’m gonna preheat the oven and uhget the trayand spread this stuff out on a bakingsheetall right we’re at 220.so this probably is going to beabout a stick of butter but i wannaweigh it beforei put my butter in my crock potand it’s gonna be hot today uh so i’mgonna make my butter outsideso it doesn’t make my kitchen super hoti have half a cup ofgood waterthat’s part of my butter recipe and itwill allow me toget my crock pot started wowthat sugar leaf is decarboxylateduh decarboxylated convertsthe chemicals to psychoactiveand it has to go over a little over 200degrees actually i think it’s 180degrees to convert itthat happens when you smoke it but ifyouare making edibles you have two choicesdecarboxylated before ortrust the conversion to happen whileyou’re heating it with the butterbut um chemistry of the butter and theproteins and lipids and all that stuffchanges how the butter comes out i’vedone it sothis is the sure fire away um i put mytimer for 30.these were kind of soaked because theygot some ice in them so30 safe all right and um our crockpot’swarming upso now we just waitso next step is to weigh this stuff[Music]so we’re right at about um 15grams so 28 and a half grams is anounce and a good recipe is anounce of umflour or sugar leaf toa pound of butter so we’re gonna go fortwo sticks of butteron the way out i’m gonna put uhtwo and a half sticks in there becausei’m gonna lose about half a stick when imake the butteroh this has already warmed up a littlebitletter in thereand three hours three hoursthis is about an hour to goso my butter isstraining through ainstead of cheesecloth i just use windowscreen plastic window screenand a metal mr coffeeuh reusable gold filter and you canalready see it’s starting to separatei’m gonna let this drip for a whilethrow my rubber gloves back onin a bit and give this a final squeezehere we are final squeezei got uhthe rubber gloves on and the temperatureis justperfect for getting that last bit outso now i’m gonna let this uh just chillout for as long as it takes for it notto moveand then that will go in therefrigerator to harden but basically ineed to waitfor that butter to become like tablebutterand it’s going to take a while butthat’s what thattime is gonna be the thing thatseparatesthe water and the oil and takesa lot of this particulate matter withthe water portionso stay tunedi tried this earlier and i wasn’t readyit’s ready now sohot water i’m gonna let this sitfor about 20 seconds[Music]fork shot andi want to see this thing move i thinkit’s gonna move[Music]yeah there it goes okay so i’m gonnapour this stuff off the bottom and givethis a quick scrapeand then i’m gonna put this back in thehot water a second timeand do one more meltand i’ll get a little more stuff off thebottomlet’s do a little marijuana math whilewe’re herewaiting for this to melt soi had uh 15grams and i’m gonna call myvery sticky sugarly 15percent thcso that ends up being twopoint two fivegrams or 2250milligrams and i’m gonna make two sticksof butterwith this so each of those sticks ofbutter is gonna be 1125milligrams so if i make 50 cookies withthateach of those cookies is going to bejust over 20uh just over 20 milligramslike 22 milligrams which is what i wanti want about 20 milligram cookiesso there’s some marijuana mats for youguys i’m going to sign off for nowthanks for following along and tuning inand i really appreciate your viewershiplike and subscribe if this makes youhappyand i’ll do a little second sessionwhere i make the cookiesbut for now this is going to go back inthe refrigerator as soon as it melts andi’m going to do one more scrapebefore tomorrow and then we’ll make somecookiestake care stay safe out there andthanks again bye[Music]you
