hi friends at home I’m Kelsey Terracethe Children’s Museum of Cleveland Ihope you saw miss Suzanna storytime withthe classic book if you give a mouse acookie if you haven’t you can visit ourwebsite cm Cleveland org to find thisstorytime and many other online programsas well today I’m going to show you inmy kitchen how I make an easy no bakecookie recipenow I babysit several children in thearea and I’ve been making these for themas a snack since they were 2 years oldand even though by them is now 11 yearsold she still requests this quite oftenas an after-school snack all you need inthe bowl to mix everything in a bananayou want one that’s a pretty goodbrightness so it gets a nice mushytexture to it but not as right becauseyou would use for banana bread somequick oats and I like to use peanutbutter but you can use almond butter orany other nut butter of your choice andthen I don’t have any at my house todaybut the kids often like I sneak a fewchocolate chips in there as well so thefirst thing you’re gonna do is peel yourbanana and I like to break it into somesmaller pieces and spread it into mybowl and then I’m just gonna take a forkand mash this down and then once it isproperly matched a good consistency Ihonestly don’t really measure when Imake these cookies I put in about a halfcup of the quick oats and a really goodlarge spoonful of the peanut butter andwhen I start mixing it if it’s becomingtoo dry I add a little bit more peanutbutter if it’s too sticky I add a fewmore oats so my banana is all mashed inmy bowl I’m gonna go ahead and about 1/2cup of oats and then a big spoonful ofpeanut butter as well and I’m just gonnacut it mix it all together and honestlyone the easiest ways to mix thistogether it’s just by using my hands soif you haven’t already washed your handsfeel well make sure you are watchingthem now and then go ahead and stickyour hands in here and start mixing allthis banana and oats togetherand again if it’s too sticky you’regonna want more oats if it’s too dry alittle bit more peanut butter just areally great sensory experiment to ifyou want to just let your children gettheir hands in here as well they canfeel what it’s like so mine isdefinitely too sticky needs more oatsthe kids I watch call these peanutbutter balls you can call them that babehave lots of bananas so you can call hima banana treat when they were reallylittle when they were still taking theirafternoon naps this is kind of so hardthe way I would bribe them I would tellthem I make them some cookies that theytook a good nap and we would make thesehealthy banana Oh treats so then onceyou have a good consistency just kind oflike a cookie dough because it C goodenough to work with but not too wet nottoo dryyou’re gonna form them into these littleballs and then I just get some platesout and make these balls and thenthey’re good to go again if I have somechocolate chips I put a few chocolatechips on the top for the kids but I’llhave you know today you can also putsome nuts on the top it’s up to you andwhat your family likes to eat so I hopeyou enjoyed this no baked cookie recipeI also hope you head over to our websitecm Cleveland org to see some more of ourprograms have a great day
