Dry Ingredients

3 cups self rising or all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder (if using all purpose flour)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt (if using all purpose flour)

Wet Ingredients

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 extra large or jumbo eggs, room temperature
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tsp hot evaporated milk
1 (12 oz bag, 2 cups) white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans (or any nuts, optional)

Baker’s Note: You may also use Milk, Dark, or Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips in the Recipe.

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Line a 9×13 inch long cookie sheet line with parchment paper, aluminum foil, or grease with baking spray; set aside.

For the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, add flour, baking soda, (baking powder and salt, if using); sift or whisk together until well combined. Set aside.

In a large bowl using a hand mixer or stand mixer with a paddle attachment, add butter, margarine, white and brown sugar; cream on medium speed until fluffy (Scraping the bowl occasionally). Next add in eggs, vanilla, and evaporated milk; continue mixing until well incorporated. Then lower the mixer to low and slowly add in the flour mixture into the butter mixture and mix until well incorporated and thick. Add and fold in the white chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Using a cookie scoop or large spoon, drop cookie dough onto the pan by the spoonfuls about 2 inches apart. (Don’t want cookies too close so they won’t touch). Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Remove from the oven, cool for a few minutes on a wire rack. Place cookies onto a platter or cake stand, serve and enjoy!
