INGREDIENTS FOR HALF RECIPE
1 stick (113 g) unsalted butter (softened)
3/8 cup and 1/2 Tbsp (164 g) granulated sugar
1 large egg (room temperature)
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp fresh lemon juice
3/8 cup (70 g) packed light brown sugar
1 AND 2 Tbsp (148 g) all purpose flour
1/4 cup (25 g) rolled oats (I used quick oats)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
tiny pinch of ground cinnamon
1 1/3 cups (233 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/8 cup (47 g) chopped walnuts
**Makes at least 9 large cookies**

welcome back everybody today I’m goingto be making the Double Tree Hotelcookie recipe I’m actually only going tomake half the recipe but I will give youfull amounts okay so I’m only going tomake half of the recipe but I will begiving you the full recipe amounts and Iwill also link the recipe resource thatI used okay so to start you will needtwo and a quarter cups of all-purposeflour to that you will want to add ahalf cup of rolled oats I’m also goingto add one teaspoon of baking soda andone teaspoon of salt and a pinch ofground cinnamon now I’m just going tomix and combine and in the originalrecipe that was posted or that came outa couple of days ago I don’t know if itwas yesterday or the day before it doescall for mixing everything in a standmixer but you know me I like to dothings by hand and my stand mixer is wayover there so I’m just going to use thisbut you definitely can use the originalrecipe method now in a large bowl let’ssee here you’re going to want to add ahalf pound of butter which is two sticksof unsalted butter actually in therecipe it’s that butter but I’m justgoing to assume unsalted softened butteryou’ll need 2 sticks of softened butternow I’m going to add 3/4 of a cup oflight brown sugar a packed cup that isand 3/4 and a cup and 1 tablespoon ofsugar a plain grant granulated sugar 1and a quarter teaspoon of vanillaextractnow I’m just going to add one large eggactually the recipe calls for two largeeggs that’s right I’m doing half arecipe so make sure you add two largeeggs and you will need a quarterteaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juicenow I’m gonna get this all creamed andmixed together and you want to make sureyou’re working with softened butter androom-temperature eggs and in the recipeit says to make sure to cream wellespecially if you’re using a stand mixerso I’m gonna do this for about a minutejust to make sure everything is combinedmixed and creamed well this is done noI’m going to add in my flour mixture andit does say in the recipe not not toovermix so I’m just sort of gonna kindof fold it and combine okay so this ismixed now you are going to want to foldin 1 and 3/4 cups of chopped walnuts Iam a nut free house so I’m going tosubstitute it with some sunflower seedsand you’re going to add 2 and 2/3 cupsof semi-sweet chocolate chips and therecipe does call for Nestle’s Toll Housechocolate chips okay so here’s the partwhere you want to fold these in butdon’t over mix I’m going to use a largescooper because it does say to put 3tablespoons of the cookie dough percookie which gives it that you know thatlarge larger cookie so I’m going to dothe best I can but I will be bakingthese in a 300 degree fahrenheit ovenfor 20 to 23 minutesokay so here’s kind of what I did I wasgonna do three in each row but I want tomake sure I give them room because I’mnot sure how much they’ll spread so forthis large baking sheetI added six so I’m gonna put these in anovenit’s a preheated oven at 300 degreesFahrenheit for 20 to 23 minutesnow I’m just going to take these and putthem on my cooling rack okay so nothingbeats a fresh homemade oven baked warmcookie take a look at this thanks to thegood folks at Double Tree hotels forreleasing their recipe because now wecan all have that vacation cookie whilewe’re at home oh yeah I hope you givethis recipe a try I hope you like it andthanks for watching[Music]
