a littleboy and even though he is taller than Iam and 13 years old and he’s going toshare with us one of his favoriterecipeshe has been inspired by cooking since hewas 2 and it’s just flourish um to wherehe is now at 13 I’m so Benjamin welcomewhat are we cooking today you’re makingchocolate chip cookies with a twistwe’re kind of adding maple extract whichmakes it taste deliciousthese are simple so I know you guys aregoing to want to make these tonight andso Benjamin let’s get rolling okay so ina mixer we are gonna add two sticks ofunsalted butter that is softened andwe’re gonna add 3/4 cup of dark brownsugar and 3/4 cup of white sugar in themixer as well and we’re going to stirso stirring it up so Benjamin and hopefirst kind of yep your future a just whyis this one of your favorite appliancesum because it’s very high-powered and Ilove the red color and it’s it’s verybig so I can be a lot of time okayreading points biggest until April 5all right we combine okay so we’re gonnaadd two eggs simple keep your dish towelalongside for easy dried okay so we’regonna add two teaspoons of the mapleextract to the eggs and we’re going towhisk and you just want to kind combineit your aqua whisk it too much so we aregoing to add our egg mixture into themixer and at low speed just in time formineokay so we are going to add two cups offlour into a big bowl and yourparticular on your flourwhat kind of already like to use I liketo use King Arthur Flour and why a lotof people use it and it has a higherprotein content in it so it helps withbaking okay so now we’re going to add 11 teaspoon and 1/4 teaspoon of bakingpowder and 1 and 1/4 teaspoon of saltand we’re going to whisk okay so we aregoing to add the dry mixture into themixer gradually I’m going to add about1/2 cup or a little bit more of a cup ata time[Music]and you can add it while it’s stillmixing process until all powerit’sand we’re going to wait until all of itscombined which is got that okay so weare going to add our chocolate chips tobowl I like the geared le chocolate isvery good for melting in the cookies andit is the most premium okay we are justgoing to mixed very lightly andsometimes it may be a little not enoughbut we don’t want to over mix it rightnow with the chocolate okay so I justtook out the bowl out of the mixer andI’m just going to add it a little moreI’m going to mix it a little more so itis combined a little more but we didn’twant to mix it in the mixer anymorebecause it would get our mixed so we aregoing to add our cookie dough mixture inunto two nonstick she hands if you donot have nonstick sheet pans you can putoil on them or you can put parchmentI like to add about a half teaspoon to ateaspoon and I had about nine to a panbecause I don’t want to overcrowd themwe say spread just a little bitand so how many will this approximatelymake Benjamin this will make about um Iwould say about 30 oh but if you want todo bigger ones you can always makebigger ones I like kind of small ones soI can eat a lot[Music]all right so are we ready to put thisone Evan okay another Panda doare you using a dough or an ice creamscooper for your skin yesis there anything special about the pansthat you like um the pans that I like Ireally like the ridges on them itcreates a more even cooking and um theyfit in our convection steamer so I likeboth see rimmed ones and the non rimones they both work well it just dependswhat you’re baking the only reason I usethis is that I want even cookies allright okay we are going to add this intoa convection oven or a of Anette bake ifyou want a convection oven you are goingto 350 degrees if you are going to putit on bake mode do it at 375 we aregoing to bake these for about 12 minutesbut depending on the size if you do thembigger than you need to add a littlemore time okay the timer for 12 minutes[Music]all right so we have a few more secondsand outs in 12 minutes they smell reallygood get big so now we have to let themcool for a few minutesmm-hmm and then we can add them on tothe cooling rack and we are going toenjoy so we’re gonna add these on thecot okay they look amazingoh my goodness I cannot wait to trythese and they smell so goodthey did fly now hey we got some bigcookies that smallthat’s an egg cookie table all right sowe have them on the cookie choline rightuntil they’re easy enough to eat and notby yourself all right so they cool fortwo minutes and now it’s the time we’veall been waiting forall right Benjamin you do the honorslook how amazing this look oh all rightyeah I have a biteall right let’s see mmm
