well hi everybody and welcome to mykitchen today we’re gonna do some morecooking because this is another cheapmeal Monday so what are we gonna make Ihope you stay tuned to find out becausewe’re gonna do a little bit of some homebakingwelcome back everyone and welcome to mykitchen today I’m going to show you howto make human rules and we’re gonna makesome barbecued chickennow the barbecue chicken is reallynothing that’s going to be too much of atechnique to it because I found thisweeks and weeks ago remember when I didthe video my daughter showed you allthese different seasonings and spicesand salsas well this here was $0.50 andwe’re gonna add some chicken in thecrock pot and we’re gonna cook thischicken and shred it up but we’re gonnamake some Cuban rolls I did this videomany years ago and everybody loves theCuban rolls it’s really easy to make andmiss damage everybody wants to know howdo you bake bread now of course I’mgonna be using my bread machine but allof my bread recipes you can use themjust as easy with a wooden spoon and abig large bowl you don’t have to have amixer you don’t have to have a breadmachine you can do it all by hand butfirst let’s get started but when thischicken looks good its original barbecueyum-yum so I was cleaning out my freezerand I found all these different chickenbreasts now some of them were vacuumsealed some I’m a regular sealed whatI’m gonna do is because they were in thefreezer for a while I am gonna go aheadI’m going to take them out the packagesand I am gonna rinse all this chickenone of the biggest questions are torinse or to not to rinse that is thehundred thousand dollar question wellsometimes I rinse sometimes I don’trinse and there’s no reasoning by it allsometimes I’m just lazy and I just don’trinse it everybody has an opinion on therinsing of the chicken or not rinsingbut today I’m going to rinse it so I’llget back to you in a moment and we’regoing to put the crock-pot togetherwhoops the chicken I’m gonna use mysanitizer I’m gonna spray it all downget everything cleaned up before wecontinue on to the next thingall right looks great smells good too dowe put our chicken and we put her saucein the pot now we’re gonna put this onhigh for about it’s gonna take a whileit’s gonna take about five to six hoursso we’re gonna go ahead and we’re gonnacook that and now we’re gonna work onour rolls all right so at the end ofthis part I’m gonna share with you therecipe so you can run it down foryourselfthe Cuban rolls are really easy and somost times when you’re making bread it’spretty much the same ingredients let’sstart out with is four cups of flour nowI do not using bread flour but you canuse regular flour as wellwhen I do my cooking I’m not all thatprecise but it always seems to work outespecially with bread bread you don’thave to be quite so precise and then itgoes for four teaspoons of sugar is whathelps your yeast to riseand then 2 and 1/4 teaspoons of yeastheat you yeast in the freezer it can askyou Overson definitely this yeast isover a year and a half old and it stillit’s just as fresh as the day I boughtit because I put it in the freezer so 2and 1/4 and I usually go about two and ahalf and then four tablespoons of butterI cook I don’t ever use margarine Ialways use real butter now I could haveused my canned butter but I had this oneas you see was partly used and I want toget it used up in your own bread it’sjust so simple now what I do is I liketo cut mine up and little pieces likethis it just helps it and then we have 2teaspoons of salt now sometimes I don’tuse this sought other times I do we’regonna put the salt in today so why don’tI like salt well salt can cause highblood pressure now we don’t have any ofthat problem here my husband and I wedon’t take any medications for anythingbut we do really watch our salt contentand there you go now we’re gonna add oneand a half cups of water and I have thisdry malt this stuff is amazing which youknow I got free way back when and whatit does is it helps give you a reallypretty brown crust I don’t know it justhelps it bake nice and then I use abouta half a teaspoon to a teaspoon of thatit doesn’t take much at all it smellsgood I can’t explain it what what itsmells like hey let me read it overeverything make sure I got it right sowe got four cups of flour four teaspoonsof sugar two and a half teaspoons ofyeast four tablespoons of butter when ithave cups of water and two teaspoons ofsalt this will give us six rollsgo ahead and put it in the bread machineand I’ll show you what we do after it’sdone rising[Music]huge cocktail what we do is we’re goingto cut it into six different portions soI’m first going to cut it into three andthen we’re going to go ahead and cut itin half so it’s one two three four I’mactually going to cut it into five okayso this is what we’re gonna do I thinkwe’re gonna make five there’s going tobe going to be a little bigger becausewe are making them for sandwiches sobasically what we’re going to do iswe’re gonna roll them like this nowwe’re gonna kind of form them into whatyou would call a sub roll or a largehamburger roll[Music][Music][Music]all right so now what we’re gonna do iswe’re gonna let them rise to the aboutdouble and that should be about an hourto two hours depending on your kitchentoday is a very damp and rainy day soit’s gonna take a little longer forthese to rise to double if you have areally warm home or a lot of moistureand humidity it will go really quicklyso this is what it looks like we havefive of them now generally I make theminto six but we’re making them a littlebigger this time because we are going tobe making these chicken sandwiches soI’ll get back to you when everything isdone rising and then we’ll put them inthe oven and I’ll show you what theylook like important that when you risein your dough you want to have itcovered so we’re gonna cover it up justlike that and I’ll get back to you withthe magic of the camera in just a fewminutes so the difference between theserules and these rules are now theserolls are uniform in shape and they’reperfect these rules won’t be quite soperfect but these rules have a wholelist of ingredients that are things thatyou really don’t mean because they put alot of preservatives into your bread sowhen you make it by scratch there’s nopreservativesthe only thing about home-baked bread isit doesn’t last very long bread willgenerally dry out and it also will getmoldy really quickly because there’s nopreservatives home baked bread is besteaten in that very same day so if you’relike me we do a lot of baking during theweek so I will bake maybe once or twiceduring the week and when my children areat home I baked almost every single dayso see you guys a little bit everybodythe rules are finished and take a lookhow beautiful they are now they’re notperfect like store-bought rolls but thisis what they look like this recipe makesreally nicebread so I hope you give it a try nowthey are really really hot so what we’regonna do is we’re gonna put some butteron them I always like butter on top ofmy rolls now you can eat these assandwich rolls hoagie rolls you can havethese as dinner rolls if you make themreal small but this is the Cuban recipeand over here we have the big sub rollsthey look like sub rollthis would make a great Italian bread aswellall right so now we’re gonna do is I’mgonna get a knife and we’re gonna showyou what the chicken looks like here isthe chicken and it looks amazingyou don’t want to cut bread when it’shot but I’m in a hurry to get this videodone because hubby’s home and we’reready to eatI’m gonna use the small one reallyreally really really really hot but Iwant to show you how nice it bakes verynice take a
