Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 kg Strong Bread Flour (**plus extra for dusting**)
630 ml Warm Water
3x7g Sachets Dried Yeast (approximately 31g fresh yeast)
1 tbsp Fine Sea Salt
2 tbsp Sugar

Method:

1.) Put flour into the mixing bowl and add salt.
2.) Take yeast and and add to water together with sugar. Whisk it well and leave it on the side for 5 minutes to give yeast some time to activate.
3.) Grab your mixture back and pour into the flour.
4.) Stir it well with fork or spoon until less sticky and can’t use the tool anymore.
5.).Flour your hands and working surface.
6.) Drop the dough on the table and start to knead for good 10 minutes until soft and no more sticky.
7.) Sprinkle some flour on the bottom of your bowl, form your kneaded dough into nice, round shape and put inside the bowl.
8.) Flour the top of your bread and cover with a kitchen cloth and leave it to prove for minimum 2 hours.
9.) After 2h, sprinkle some flour on the table and put your dough on it.
10.) Start to knead to smash the air out of your pastry and until soft again. no longer than 2 min. Split into two or three pieces if you want, add seeds or herbs if needed and shape it into desired form like round, oval, square etc. It is entirely up to you!
11.) Grab a baking tray or other baking forms and flour it. You can also use olive oil or just put simple baking paper.
12.) Next, place your bread on the tray and leave it again to prove for another 40min to an hour.to double in size again.
13.) After second prove preheat your oven to 180℃ – 200℃ .
14.) Just before baking, take a sharp knife and score your bread. You can design whatever you like! Go creative! Just don’t score too deep, you don’t want to cut into smaller pieces:)
15.) Place your bread inside the oven and bake until gold and crunchy for approximately 25-30 minutes.
16.) Once baked leave it for a while to let it cool down.
17.) After 10 to 15 minutes bread should be ready to serve!!! If you think that this amount is way too much don’t be afraid to freeze it. Once defrosted, will taste exactly the same!!! Enjoy!!!
