Bread recipe – without oven, make sandwich bread at home

Hi friends, here is my recipe for the heavenly smelling sandwich bread. I was never happy with the kind of bread most bakeries sell, so I decided to bake my own, that too without an oven, in a vessel!

Here are the complete measurements of the ingredients used.
Bread flour/ maida- 300gms
Instant dry active yeast- 6gms
Milk powder- 9gms
Sugar- 12gms
Salt- 9gms
Unsalted butter at room temperature- 36gms
lukewarm water- 200ml

Egg wash is made by beating one egg with a tbsp of water. It gives the bread smooth, thin crust. You can exclude it as per your preference.
If you are using an oven: Bake at 350F for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown

Tips to get the bread right:
1. Knead the dough till it is very soft, springy and stretchy.
2. The water added may vary depending on the various factors, if you do not feel that the dough is soft enough, please add more water.
3. Do not add flour if the dough becomes sticky initially. Keep kneading, it should form a ball. If the dough is still sticky add little flour.
4. Proofing time depends on room temperature, sometimes it can be 1 hour, sometimes 4 hours, please vary it according to the place you live.
5. Steam during baking bread is essential for a soft and brown crust.
