BAKING CINNAMON BANANA BREAD (family recipe!)

banana bread recipe:

ingredients:
4 tbsp sourcream
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp of vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
3 bananas
1 1/2 cup flour

directions:
* mix baking soda and sour cream together in a bowl and set aside (let sit for at least 5 min).
* while that’s sitting, mix together butter, eggs, and sugar & vanilla
* add sour cream mixture and mashed bananas, and mix well.
* add in flour slowly.
* after completely mixed, put in loaf pan and bake @ 350 for 60 minutes.

hi thank you so much for clicking onthis video my name is Ariana and todayI’m gonna be making cinnamon bananabread for Christmas Eve and for myfamily and so I wanted to take you alongwith me while I make this deliciousbanana bread so we’re gonna need sourcream baking soda butter vanilla 2 eggssugar brown sugar 3 bananas and flourand I’ll have all the exact measurementsI’ll make sure that I put those downbelow the exact recipe how much you’llneed of everything and I’ll try to sayit as I’m doing it but basically it’s areally easy family recipe I didn’t getthis from anywhere except my aunt Lisaand my grandma Linda so shout out tograndma Linda and aunt Lysaif you’re watching this I love you thankyou for this recipe it’s the besteverybody loves it so I’m really excitedto make it and I hope that you guys loveit as much as I do so I’m gonna getstarted making it okay so the firstthing we’re gonna do is we’re gonna wantto mix baking soda and sour creamtogether in a bowl and we’re gonna letthat sit for five minutes once we dothat so I’m gonna go ahead and take onetablespoon and we got to get four ofthese in there and I just kind of try toget the best measurement I can so nowwe’re gonna add one teaspoon of bakingsodalet me see so I have I don’t have a 1teaspoon so I’m gonna do two 1/2teaspoons of baking sodaokay wait actually I’m gonna do thisover this thing cuz I don’t trust myselfwe had some following soldiers that’sokay I’m not good at math but I knowthat and then we just want to mix thisso I’m gonna take just a little spatulathingy and I’m gonna mix this togetherand this is gonna after we mix thiswe’re gonna let it sit for five minutesand while it’s sitting we’re gonna mixsome other stuff together too I thinknext comes the eggs butter and sugar sowe’ll get that going and then we’ll addthis mixture to that you’ll see it’ll beall good I’m like in the zone mixingthis but it’s gonna be so goodand it’s weird it gets almost like thislike frothy consistency and I don’t knowit doesn’t look like sour cream anymoreI promise it looks almost like afrosting all right so now I got all myingredients in front of me becauseyou’re gonna need three bananas themushy ER and more disgusting the betteryou want to look basically like like thebanana and you want to throw it away andit’s it’s not a good banana it’s not agood look for a banana but it’s greatfor banana bread so this is the idealbanana for banana bread and so I havethree of those right here they’re allmushy and good to goone tip though is that you can put themin the microwave for 30 seconds and itmakes them more juicy and then mushy ERand then when you put them in it makesitthe easier to stir these are alreadyreally messaged so it shouldn’t be aproblem with mixing but that’s just atip to make the bananas a little bitmushy so now I’m gonna just start addingin the ingredients so first I’m going toadd in the bananas and so Oh YUMit’s very weird they they’re like aweird consistency when they get likethis it’s like very mushy but that’swhat you want you want it to be mushy sothat’s goodthat’s the ideal oh she’s good don’t beafraid of the mush and then oh also Iput an apron on my mother-in-law got itfor mefrom Anthropologie and it’s the best andnow I will protect my sweaterso I don’t get any more of sour cream orother gooey things on it so now we’regonna add sugar eggs and all that goodstuff I’m gonna crack an egg it’s strongno no if you know it’s bad but it’s halfa teaspoon of vanilla guys half ateaspoon so we’re gonna take our littlehalf teaspoon and I’m gonna fill thisgonna put my sugars in I know I’ll addbutter next so you’re gonna need a halfa cup of butter which is essentiallyjust a full stick of butter so I just goon and plop this bad boy in here get onin there by put in there last but notleast sugar sugarthat was a good scoop sometimes it’sdifficult to get a good scoop but youknow when you got it and so you do yourfirst cup of sugar this is justgranulated white sugar and now we’regoing to do two cuz it’s one and a halfwell this is where I keep the brownsugar and then we’re just gonna get ahalf cup of this just kind of pack it inthere real goodthis is fluffy it’s gonna be so I’m soexcitedbeautiful okay so now we’ve got ourbutter eggs and sugars and all the goodstuff vanilla together and we alreadyput the bananas in sometimes I add themin after sometimes out and then beforethis should mix okay because the bananasare so mushy so shouldn’t be a problembut then we’re gonna add in that sourcream mixture once this starts mixingand and not all get to be its own littlemixture and then we’ll add the flour andslowly so we’ll get over to the mixerand I’ll show you what I mean okay hinow we’re in another spot in my kitchenwhich is by my KitchenAid mixer bestwedding gift of all time seriously useit constantly it’s my favorite thing inmy kitchen and so we’re gonna turn thisbad boy on and get it started so it canstart mixing together the bananas andall the ingredients that we use so I’mgonna lock it[Applause]I use ground cinnamon in the bananabread I add this last so I wait tillafter I’ve done the flour and all ofthat then I start to add in this againso once this is mixed then I’ll put inthe cup and a half of flour and then I’mgonna add in the ground cinnamon andthen mix that and then we should belooking good and like more like bananabread okay so now it’s been mixing for Idon’t know a couple of seconds it’s notbeen very long but now I usually takelike one of these while I’m doing thisand I can just scrape the sides and pushit down so that it mixes even morebetter I don’t know so it getseverything so it looks pretty grossright now I will warn you it’s not themost appetizing but we’re gonna add in asour to the sour cream mixture now sorryif you can’t see anything but right nowI’m just flopping this in it’s likeweird word flop okay so now I’m gonnamix that now that we’ve got that inthere I’m going to mix it together andthen we’ll add the flour and slowly sonow a tip that my grandma told meactually is that you add let me get theexact measurement real quick so you’regonna want to add a an additional halfteaspoon of baking soda into the flouras your last ingredient because it makesfor a higher and fluffier loaf so we’regonna do that too so I’m just gonna takehalf a teaspoon of baking soda and addthat into the mixture now and then we’regonna start adding in the flour as wellnow we’re gonna add that in[Music]and I’m gonna add in flour or thiscanister is so good just like biggerthan my head and it’s heavy and it’sfull of flour and it’s amazing it’s fromTargetit’s from from Joanna Gaines sectionbecause I’m obsessed with anything shedoes so I’m gonna add they say added andslowly I kind of don’t really listen tothat I just make sure I have a cup kindof shake it so that it gets to where itit’s full and then I just add it in andI’ll turn it onso I’m just slowly adding in the firstcup of flour that’s the first cup doneand you can see it’s starting to lookmore normal now it’s not looking asweird it’s still a little chunky butokay now we’re gonna do another half cupbut I just wanted you to kind of seeflour makes all the difference it looksreally gross before you add flour afterI’m gonna use my own batch enough tokind of go around and push the extraflour and good stuff down I’ll push downthe sides and then I’ll add the cinnamonand mix it again and then we’ll be readyto bake okay so now I’m going to add thecinnamon into the banana bread mixturewhile it’s mixing and I just do this youknow while it’s going so that it reallygets it in there then I don’t add nutsinside because I don’t personally likethem but you know you could add nutschocolate chips whatever to it but Ijust like a lot of sentimentsit’s gonna be really good my favoritething to add the cinnamon I think itreally complements the banana as wellbut I know a lot of other people likechocolate chips and nuts and things likethat so you could do whatever you likebut I like cinnamon and this time ofyear it just seems really festive too soI like that so now we’re going topreheat the oven to 350 and that’s gonnastart preheating I like to turn thelight on it ooh but I keep gettingcaught back here is trying to kill meand then I’m gonna pour this okay so weadded the cinnamon and I’ll show youguys kind of what it looks like ah itlooks good so now we’re gonna put it inhere and we already sprayed this withcooking spray so that it’s easy to comeit comes out easier I usually will takesomething like this and I’ll kind of getall this extra goop that doesn’t make itsound very appetizing anything I guess Igotta get all your goop in here and thenyou’re gonna go on and plop it in theoven when dead oh my god oh I can’t I’mnot gonna miss that scariest moment ofmy life and on film honestly guys itlooks a little weird I don’t know if itwas because I added in the bananas afteror or when I did the eggs and stuff andI’m I think you were supposed to add itin with the sour cream mixture after thefact that neighborhood the first thing Iput in for some reason I think I’mnervous cuz I’m filming and I don’tnormally feel myself baking but alsoit’s just like with baking you neverit’s a science you have to kind of messaround with it and you learn as you gobut yeah it kind of looks like oatmealbut now it’s ready in the loaf pan to goin the oven and now we’re just waitingfor the ovenso then we’ll put this in and it goes infor 60 minutes and then we’ll have yummybanana bread we’re just going to stickthis in the oven so I’m gonna go aheadand open it up it’s pre heated rocksready 350 degrees let’s hope I don’tkill myself hereall right and now it’s in there and it’snice and warm so now we’re going to seta timer for 60 minutes and in themeantime we’re just gonna wait for thatBrendan be ready all right so the bananabread is fresh and out of the oven it’ssmelling amazing it smelled up the wholehouse and I’m so excited to fill
