Make-Ahead Freezer Waffles | Egg & Dairy Free Baking

Freezer Waffles:

1 cup flour (all-purpose)
1/3 cup cornmeal
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp or a dash salt
1 tbsp. vinegar (white or apple cider)
400mL liquid (I used sweetened almond milk)
1/3 cup melted margarine (butter or similar substitute would work)
1/3 cup oil or less (canola or coconut)
1-2tbsp maple syrup (agave or honey would work) (optional)
1 chia egg (1 tbsp. chia seeds + 2-3 tbsp. water) (optional)
1/4 – 1/3 cup chocolate chips or frozen blueberries (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients. Add the wet to dry. Be careful not to overmix. Use a waffle maker or frying pan and create. Allow fresh waffles to cool off completely on a wire rack before placing in a container and freezing. If stored properly, they could last in the freezer for months. Serve with fruit or maple syrup.

Yield: 12-15 waffles, depends upon the size of the waffle maker.

using sweetened almondmilk and to that you’re gonna add abouta tablespoon of vinegar here I’m goingto be adding white regular plain oldstandard vinegar apple cider would beappropriate I don’t have any mix it upand here’s a third of a cup of meltedmargarine you can use butter I’m gonnaadd 1/3 cup of sunflower oil we’re ofcanola oil I don’t recommend sunfloweroil you can use coconut don’t use morethan a third of a cup whiskto some but no extract if you have itand then about one to two tablespoons ofmaple syrupgrab your twists and mix the wetingredients with the dry ingredientsaiming to break up as many clumps aspossible without over mixing and thatwould be the time to add in a mixin suchas chocolate chips and blueberries Irecommend between a quarter to a thirdof a cup but it’s totally up to youthis next bit is completely optional butI highly recommend itif you’ve never heard of each easy leglesson books the purpose of a cheesy eggin this recipe is to thicken up thebatter labels as always but this wayyou don’t have to spend extra money on abrand namebuh-burn chocolate chips of semi-sweetones and the dark ones are dairy freekeep that in mind a little extra flourat this point you can whip your wafflemaker or if you decide you can use afrying pan such as this one I love mycast iron pants completely an optionplug it in let it heat up mine has alight that turns on when fruitand again if you’re actually followingthis recipe and freezing our wafflesplace the fresh waffles onto a wire rackafter they have sufficiently cooledplace into a container I like this oneand you eat that sucker into the freezerit is important to let them cool down ona rack before freezing so that theydon’t stick to each other too much whenremoved if you want to go the extradistance you could place the waffles onthe wire rack into the freezer and thenseparate into containers after eachwaffle is sufficiently first but who hasthe space when you’re ready to enjoy itpop them out of the freezer and into thetoaster my toaster has a defrost optionthat I just discovered this morning thatworks perfect for this but if yourruffles are not getting sufficientlytoasted in the toaster I suggestmicrowaving them for about 30 secondsand then putting them into the toasterjust warming up a little bit if properlystored hidden in the freezer they canprobably last for a few months as it’simportant with every recipe you shouldalways taste test it before you throw itin the freezer because you don’t want tobe surprised Oh morning and you findnothing like it taste taste like Ialready have one I would not suggestusing sunflower oil if you don’t havecoconut oil or canola oil just use alittle bit extra no or margarine orbutter still pretty good though14:14 waffles 82 and there’s 12
