Make-a-Wish 5th Annual Waffles for Wishes Event

[Music]we are so excited to be here today forour fifth annual waffles for wishesevent presented by our young leadersboard our young leaders board is a groupof young professionals in the communitywho have really come together to rallybehind our mission of brandinglife-changing wishes to children withcritical illnesses we are so gratefulfor their partnership and support we’vegot a great group of young professionalson our young leaders board they put ontwo events a year for us we’ve got winefor wishes that typically happens duringthe summer and of course our waffles forwishes event which is happening todaywe’re so grateful for everyone who’sjoining us today all of the attendeesall of our partners who are providingdelicious foods drinks services and ofcourse we could not have this eventwithout our wonderful community partnersall of our sponsors we’ve got dr. Thomasand Miko Sasha Dave and Buster’s firstHawaiian Bank MW group Howard HughesIsland Energy ultras taco belly Zippy’sjust to name a few we are so gratefulfor their supportwe’ve got carnival games for the firsttime ever at this event we’ve got luckydrawing with wonderful staycationgiveaways beauty treatments date nightpackageswe’ve got great entertainment it’s justa really funny event[Music][Applause]we are so excited today because look atthis we are at the beautiful Aloha TowerMarketplace and this is our fifth annualwaffles for wishes and so we want to dosomething cool you will never be be ableto attend an event like this for fourmore yearsso we said let’s do it on leap day tomake it a special day and it’s it’s acelebration you know it’s a celebrationof people who care for other people youknow the young leaders board is a groupof people are really passionate abouthelping make-a-wish Hawaii take care oftheir mission which is to help childrenwith critical illnesses get to go on alife-changing wish I’m not sure I cantalk about this it’s secret but we haveone of our wish kids is going to get togo to Disney World it is going to beincredible and he’s a big adventures fanso we’ve brought out some Avengers todayto kind of welcome in and share whathe’s gonna do he has no idea just yetyou know honestly like I’m it reallytouches my heart you know we had a bigpush to sell tickets for this event andas we said look it’s fun for you butthis is much bigger than each one of usthis is to help families and childrenjust give them hope you know and thereis nothing in this world like hope so tosee everybody come out for a Cause thathas so much heart in so much care and somuch you know the tea the make-a-wishHawaii team what they do every singleday is delivering these these wishes tothese children and so we’re reallyexcited just to see everyone here andget a chance to welcome them into themission for make-a-wish Hawaii Thank Youmake-a-wish there are no words that canexpress our gratitude and our love tomake-a-wishfamily for granting Johnson his wish forthe wish of all the Kiki’s in Hawaiitoday really means a lot to all of usespecially for tauntaunhe gets to go to this be world which ishis dream to see The Avengers and it’sbeen a really emotional roller coastersince birth but with all the greatdoctors and staff at Kapiolani MedicalCenter for for everything that makesthey be do for us and for Tonto andspecially for Tontoagain to thank you to make a wish on thefamilyI love you[Music]
