4 eggs
1½ cup (375 mL) milk
1 tsp (5 mL) pure vanilla extract
2 Tbsp (30 mL) maple syrup, plus extra to serve
4 thick slices of day old Brioche or Texas toast
2 Tbsp (30 mL) softened unsalted butter
Chocolate syrup
Whipping cream
▼Instructions
Preheat your waffle iron.
Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract and softened butter, and pour into a shallow dish.
Dip slices into egg mixture, and gently turn over until bread is saturated with the mixture.
Carefully place slices into waffle iron and close the lid.
Cook and repeat with remaining bread and egg mixture.
