How to make Classic Homemade Waffles | Perfect Belgian waffles using everyday ingredients

Perfect waffles, brown and crispy on outside and fluffy soft inside! Having these waffles has to be one of the best ways to begin your day!

yields 4 square waffles

1 cup all purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp melted butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cup milk

Mix all the dry ingredients. Whisk softened butter, egg and milk. Next add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Don’t worry about lumps in the batter. The mixture be thick and flowy similar to whipped cream. Grease your preheated waffle maker. Pour the batter. Tilt to level it across, close the lid but dont latch it for it to rise uniformly. Its ready when its crispy and brown both sides, takes 5-7 minutes depending on your waffle maker. Delicious crispy waffles from your pantry staples. Serve with fruits, maple syrup, nuts or cream
