Caramel Sauce:
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Water
1 Cup Heavy Cream

Whipped Cream:
1 or 1 1/2 Cup Whipping Cream
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste or Vanilla Extract

every one today I’ll be teaching you howto make these delicious butter pecanwaffles with a sweet caramel sauce thesewaffles are so deliciousI should have put pecans and waffles along time ago so let’s get started withthe video we’re gonna begin by makingour brown butter and a small pot overmedium to high heat melt one stick ofbutter[Music]you’ll know your brown butter is readywhen the butter has a nutty aroma to itit turns brown and there is a slightfoam at the topwhen you’re brown butter is done cookingtake it off the heatpour your butter through a fine-meshstrainer to remove any of the littlebrown bits from your butter then setyour butter to the side now chop up somepecans[Music]when you’re finished melt some butter ina pan over medium to high heat then add1/3 cup of your chopped pecans[Music]continue to cook it for about five toseven minutes add more butter as neededwhen you’re done toasting your pecanstake them off the heat and set them tothe side in a large bowl sift 1 and 3/4cup of flour[Music]one teaspoon of baking soda 1 and 1/2teaspoon of baking powder and 1/2teaspoon of salt[Music]all right now set that to the side nowseparate three large eggs[Music]now take your egg whites and whisk untilstiff peaks form[Music]it when you’re finished set your eggwhites to the side now in a medium sizedBowl pour it in your three egg yolks and1/3 cup of sugar whisk the sugar and eggyolks together until it becomes smoothand turns into a pale yellow as you cansee I keep pausing while I’m whiskingand it’s because it’s a workout my armswere burning[Music]when you’re finish add your brown butter[Music]wisk everything until well combined[Music]then add 1 and 3/4 cup of buttermilk andfinally add 1 teaspoon of vanilla beanpaste or vanilla extract[Music]now we’re going to combine our wetingredients with our dry ingredients Ialways like to push the dry ingredientsto the edge of the bowl so I can createan empty Center so I can pour the wetingredients insidenow we’re just going to slightly whiskeverything together you don’t want toovermix it just like slightly mix ittogether so it’s kind of welcome by butnot completely well combined thengradually fold in your egg whites[Music]now that the batter’s finished we canstart making our waffles and meltedbutter – your waffle ironthen add one cup of your batter howeverI should mention that the amount ofbatter you use may vary by the size ofyour waffle ironmake sure to even out your batter thenadd your toasted pecans[Music][Music]once your waffles are done cooking theyshould look like this all golden-brownbuttery and delicious I’m always likereally happy when the waffles come outwell remove the waffle from the waffleiron and then repeat the process untilyou run out of batter now that thewaffles are done we’re going to startmaking our caramel sauce in a saucepanpour one cup of sugar and 1/2 cup ofwater bring the sugar and water to aboil stirring occasionally making surethe sugar doesn’t stick to the bottom ofthe saucepan[Music]while the sugar water is heating up pourone cup of heavy whipping cream it intoa small saucepan proceed to heat theheavy whipping cream over medium to highheat until it is almost boiling whenyour sugar water mixture is at 350degrees Fahrenheit you can begin addingyour cream by the way I’m using a candythermometer to check the temperature ofthe sugar water mixture pour it yourheavy whipping cream into the sugarwater mixture 1/4 cup at a time over lowheat whisk the cream in until thebubbles have completely disappeared andthen add more cream continue to do thisuntil you run out of creamwhen your caramel is finished take itoff the heat and place it into acontainer to cool at room temperatureafter I finished the caramel I made aquick homemade whipped cream and then Iadded about one cup or one cup and 1/2cup of heavy whipping cream a half a cupof sugar and a half a teaspoon ofvanilla bean paste and you could alsouse vanilla extract use a hand mixer ora whisk to whisk everything togetheruntil light and fluffygradually add more sugar in as neededwhen you’re finished set your whippedcream to the side get great with yourfavorite toppings in you are allfinished[Music]these waffles tasted so so freakin goodthe caramel sauce tasted great with itit was my first time making it so myadvice would be watch it watch it like ahawk that sugar will burn and it willburn fast once it gets really really hotso once it gets to the right temperaturestart adding your cream and turn off theheat no wait don’t turn it off put it onlow turn down your Heatanyway the waffles with the caramelsauce and fruit and whip cream alltogether makes it taste delicious thankyou thank you so much for watching thevideoeverything I used in the video will bein the description below don’t forget toLike comment and subscribe bye bTW youcan totally freeze any leftover wafflesand put them in a ziploc bag and thenwhen you’re ready to eat them pop themin the toaster they’ll be fluffy crispyand warmyou

  4. Just a small hint my grandma always told me…when separating egg yolks and whites be sure to discard the embryo sac thing (the white gloppy piece) because it makes a creamier texture.
