hey y’all it’s um Thursday evening andStevens had a meeting at church at thechurch building so he’s some gonna belate tonight so I usually do breakfastfor dinner when he’s going to be runninglateneither fix bacon her I’ve got leftoversausage and since I’m going low-carbI’m fixing waffles but they’re made witha different kind of flour bloody y’allknow what garbanzo beans are well theygrind those up when they’re they’re dryand make a flour and usually you get itin an indian market and not see it as beSam or gram flour works really well yousee I make pancakes with it but tonightI’m going to try waffles you never havemade waffles with it before but with therecipe it’s a cup of garbanzo bean flourWhole Foods has had it before in thebulk section but they don’t always haveit so I stopped at the Indian market wehave some in Cady and got that so onecup of garbanzo bean flour a teaspoon ofbaking powder and 1/4 of teaspoon ofsalt and it calls for almond milk and itseems to work better when I use almondmilk then when I use regular milk so I’musing the almond milk this isunsweetened vanilla flavor one cup ofthat one egg and for the pancakes it’sone tablespoon of oil normally when Imake waffles with the same recipe withthe regular flour I use two tablespoonsof oil because the waffles crispier andthat seems to do better and then oneteaspoon of vanilla extract and when youmix it up it’s um it’s very thin likecrepe batter in fact you can actuallymake the bread that they make with itvery very thin so I poured it into mywaffle maker here and I set it for fiveminuteswhich is normally what a regular wafflesat and we’ve got a couple of moreminutes leftnormally I don’t spray my waffle ironwhen I make with waffles with regularflour because it’s I’ve used it so muchand but this since it’s a different kindof flour a spritz stick with some somesome oil there yeah I put butter on mywaffles just a little bit but and Idon’t use I use agave syrup use a darkagave and it’s a low glycemic sweeteneryou it’s like you can’t use a ton of itbecause it still is sugar but I haven’thad any sugar today and I’ve had my nosugar headache that I always get thenext day after I go off sugar so I knowit’s working so I’m gonna have about atablespoon of agave I put on top of thatyou use maple syrup honey jelly you knowsome people put peanut butter on therewaffles so I’m going to try this out andsee if these are any good if they Brownup well they they have a nutty taste tothem they’re the pancakes don’t likerise up really really high like you’dlike buttermilk pancakes do we got justabout 13 seconds left so we’re gonnawe’ll take a look at them here and I’lltaste them and if they’re good I’ll fixeven one if I don’t think you’ll likethem I’ll make him regular oldwhite flour carb gluten and all thatstuff so if you’re blue this is agluten-free if you happen to thesearen’t quite as dark but they do feelcrispy so they might just not they maynot get it dark as regular waffles soI’m gonna flip them now they do when Imake pancakes but these feel crispy andI don’t want to burn them so and theydidn’t plate here they didn’t stickwhich is great that’s always a problemthese are full of protein because theyare beans so this is a high-proteinlow-carb substitute for either pancakesor waffles so if you happen to have awhole food near you or you might can getfit garbanzo bean flour or in Indianmarket you’re not try out barb onsoybean flour and look up recipes forthem I really like it you’ll have a goodevening bye y’all

  1. This is a family favorite and one I don’t use a recipe for, just the one in my head. My grandmother used to make this often and we all loved it. Still do.
