These waffles are super simple to throw together in the morning! They come out crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside and are super filling 🙂 Load them up however you like! Recipe below.
Original recipe from: https://delightfuladventures.com/easy-vegan-gluten-free-waffles/#wprm-recipe-container-2796
Recipe:
2 cups warm plant based milk (I used my homemade oat milk)
1/4 cup melted vegan butter
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons ground flax seeds
1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
2 cups gluten free flour blend
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch sea salt
In a medium bowl whisk together milk, butter, vanilla, ground flax and maple syrup. Set aside to thicken.
In a small bowl (or right in a large measuring cup) combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
Heat up your waffle iron and spray with non-stick spray if necessary. Drop the batter onto the waffle iron in large dollops. Cook until crispy on the outside.
Dress up your waffles! I put vegan butter, warm mixed berries, hemp hearts and maple syrup on mine.
These freeze really well! Just take out of the freezer, lightly defrost and then pop into the toaster!
Makes about 8 waffles.
Enjoy and cheers to living free 🙂
