[Music]hi everyone welcome back to Catherine’splace I’m Catherine your host today I amgoing to be bringing you a French silkpie brownie two-in-one dessert withthree scrumptious delicious layers okaydid I get youlet’s go okay so our first layer of ourpie is going to be a brownie mix anybrownie mix box that you have now I’musing a dark chocolate variety here soyou can use any flavor so what I’m goingto do is to make this according to theinstructions on the back of the boxso I’m going to put my brownie mix inI like to break up all the big pieces inthere okay to that I’m going to add mywater which was a quarter cup two eggsand what I have right here is half a cupof melted butternow they say half a cup of oil but Ialways like to replace it with thebutter cuz it just makes it moredecadent okay go ahead now and just mixthis all together right with flavorbrownie mix do you like and do you wantto use for this[Music]let’s take that away for just a second Iam using a 8×8 now on the back of thebox you can use an 8 by 8 and 9 by 9 or9 by 13 I am using an 8 by 8 because itwill make a higher brownie for thisdessert now you can use a 9 by 13 andjust remember that it will make yourbrownie just a little smallerokay I’m gonna lightly coat my pan herewith some cooking spray and then I’mgoing to add in on my brownie mix[Music]alright then then just smooth it outand what I’m going to do is place itinto my preheated oven and it’s beenpreheating at 325 degrees that is for an8x8 baking dish so keep that in mind andI’m going to cook this for about 55minutes I’m going to check on it alwaysstart checking on about five minutesbefore the beginning timeframe okaylet’s go ahead and get this done andI’ll be back okay so my brownies arecompletely cool so what we’re going todo is make that second layer which isgoing to be that silky smooth layer soin a large bowl you wanted to be able togo into the microwave okay so make sureyou get that we’re going to add fourounces of chocolate I’m just using somesemi-sweet chocolate chips any flavoryou wanttoo bad I’m going to add fourtablespoons of butter now since this isgoing in the microwave I’m going to putsmall caps of butter in there so it’llhelp melt everything you don’t want toput a big chunk in there okay so whatI’m gonna do now is place this in themicrowave and I want to melt this alltogether so every 15 seconds or maybe 30seconds so I’m going to take a look atthisstir it put it back in stir it until Iget a nice smooth consistencyall right we’re gonna keep going okay asyou can see it is nice and smooth inthere perfect what I’m gonna dolick this like a candy bar okay so I’vegot 8 ounces of cream cheese here nowyou want to make sure this is a verysoft room-temperature if you need alittle help of that you can take it outof the packaging here put it in themicrowave for just a few seconds andthat will help loosen that up all rightso what I’m gonna do take it out of thepackage these things are not always easyto open[Music]I’m just going to do it in little chunkshere okay what I’m gonna do is take myelectric hand mixer here and I’m goingto beat this all together until it’snice and smooth and then we’re going tostart incorporating a some powderedsugar in here[Music]so I’ll just add in half a cup[Music]another half cup[Music]start pushing down the sides so when youget a good even mix I’ve got anotherhalf a cup going in a powdered sugar[Music]okay eight ounces of some whippedtopping I’m just using Cool Whip herewhat we’re gonna do is fold this in nowwhen you fold in anything you pull fromthe sides into the center and you can’thappen so go in bring it in half again[Music]all right let’s bring our brownies overherenow what we’re gonna do is put thatmixture on top of the brownies here andsmooth it out we’re going offset spatulahere that will really help smooth outthere we gookay guys look at the layers in therewhat we’re gonna do now is we need thisto set up so we’re gonna place this inthe refrigerator I know I know huh youget this part of your window dive inright for hours or overnight now I’mgoing to put this in the refrigeratorand then we’re going to come back andI’m going to do the finishing touches toit and then you know it we’re going togive it a try okay it’s been four hoursI pulled my two layered dessert out ofthe refrigerator we’re going to cut thisput it on a plate and then I’m going toadd the third layer[Music]okay the final layer is going to be coolhwhip okay I’ve got a piping bag herejust don’t point down somewhat so I’vegot the tip in my bag here I’m justgonna spoon my Cool Whip into it now youcan totally yeah just put a dollop ontop of your pie there but you know me Iwant you to make it look really prettyI’m gonna snip off the end squeeze thisall the way down to the bottom now it’stime put some chocolate chips on it[Music]does that look good or what all I needis a fork let’s count the ways the firstlayer brownie the second layer theFrench silk
