INGREDIENTS
1 9-inch Oreo Crust
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, plus more for topping 113g
1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk 396g
2 cups heavy whipping cream 294ml
1/4 cup powdered sugar 29g
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 5ml
INSTRUCTIONS
Chop chocolate and place in a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl. Heat on 50% power in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
Stir sweetened condensed milk into chocolate. Set aside. Doing this before making the whipped cream ensures the chocolate cools enough. Otherwise, let it sit about 5-10 minutes before using.
Place heavy whipping cream in the bowl of a stand mixer (or a large bowl if using a hand mixer). Beat until stiff peaks (whipped cream) forms, slowly adding powdered sugar and vanilla during mixing.
Carefully FOLD half of the whipped cream mixture into the chocolate mixture. Do not stir or you will break the whipped cream. Place in prepared pan. Top with remaining whipped cream. Shave extra chocolate on top, for garnish, optional.
Chill pie at least 2 hours before slicing and serving. Store loosely covered in refrigerator.

– Hey friends and welcome
back to my channel.Today I’m going to show you howto make one of my favorite
pies, a chocolate cream pie.It has an Oreo crust and
a creamy chocolate fillingwith whipped cream
topping, it is my favorite, you’re not going to want to miss it.(upbeat music)Chocolate cream pie is really, really easy to make at home
with all homemade ingredients. We’re going to make our own
Oreo crust recipe using Oreosand butter, and it tastes
way better than the onethat you buy the store. The chocolate filling recipe
is sweetened condensed milkand melted chocolate
and fresh whipped cream, and the whole thing is going to be toppedwith a fresh whipped cream,a sweetened whipped cream
topping, it’s delicious.For delicious desserts
and easy recipes be sureto subscribe to my channel,
now let’s get in the kitchen. We’re going to start our pie
by making our Oreo crust, now you can just buy one at the storebut I promise mine tastes way better.Start by adding 25 Oreo cookies, the entire Oreo, I don’t
take out the filling, add those to a food processorand pulse several times
until it’s nice and fine. Then add the crumbs to five
tablespoons of melted butter.Stir those with a fork, I
much prefer using a forkto a spoon because I fee like
I makes it nice and sandier, instead of compacting it.Then press your crumbs
into a nine inch pan. This makes a nice thick crust
that you’re going to love. We’re going to chill the pie crust whilewe are making the filling. Now to make the fillingyou’re going to start off with four ouncesof unsweetened baking chocolate.I’m just going to chop this, give it a rough chop before I add itto a microwave safe bowl
and heat it in the microwaveon 50% power, 30 second increments,I’m going to stir between
each one until it’s meltedand smooth, which will take about a minuteand 1/2 to two minutes. Now if you only semisweet
chocolate you can use that too.Once our chocolate is melted and smoothyou’re going to stir in one 14 ounce canof sweetened condensed milk.Make sure to get the regular
sweetened condensed milk, not the fat free.Fat free will make the pie not set up.Now another really important note, once the mixture, the chocolate
mixture is mixed together, make sure and set it aside
to make your whipped cream. You want that chocolate mixtureto sit for at least five minutes sothat it can cool so it doesn’t
melt the whipped cream. The whipped cream is super easy to make, just add two cups of heavy whipping creamto a really large bowl. You can also use a
stand mixer if you want. And you’re going to
beat that on high speed, adding 1/4 cup of powdered
sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla.Whip that until stiff peaks form. Now make sure that you’re
using heavy whipping creambecause the fat content
will make it whip upto stiffer peaks than
regular whipping cream.Make sure that you whip the
cream until stiff peaks form.Once you have your whipped
cream, divide it in half. You’re going to add half
into the chocolate mixtureand set the other half aside’cause that’s what we’re
going to use to top our pie.Now it’s really important whenyou’re mixing the whipped cream
into the chocolate mixture, you want to fold it.You don’t want to stir it,
you don’t want to mix it,fold it carefully and slowly. It’s going to seem like it
never is going to come togetherbecause that chocolate
mixture is pretty thick, but it will mix together into a nice, rich, chocolatey filling for this pie.If you mix the whipping cream too fastyou will break it, causing
the pie to not set up.So make sure that you’re
folding it carefully.Once you have the chocolate mixture, just add it to your pie crust. And then top it with the rest
of the fresh whipped cream, and then I’m just using an extra squareof chocolate and I’m
going to use my Microplaneand I’m going to grate
it all over the top.You could dust it with cocoaor make some chocolate swirls,
or just leave it plain. Now you’re going to chill thisfor at least two hours
for it to set up beforeyou try to slice it.Our chocolate cream pie has
been chilling in the fridgefor a couple of hours,
let’s slice and taste it.It is so delicious, that
rich chocolate fillingand the whipped cream,
and that cookie crust,I swear if you have never madeyour own Oreo cookie
crust you need to try it.It’s so easy and it adds so much flavor,so much better than the one at the store. This chocolate cream pie is goingto go fast, I’m going to have to rehome itso I don’t just attack it with a fork.I’m going to go find
someone to give this pie to,you keep watching for more
delicious pie recipes.(upbeat music)
