This is a family recipe going back for many years and a favourite.
Shortcrust pastry.
250 Grams of plain flour
1 egg yolk
140 grams of unsalted Butter
2 to 5 grams of salt
50 ml of water
Blind bake at 180 c for around 15 mins, check to see if the base is cooked if it ok take out the oven beads and pop the base back in the oven for another 5 to 10 mins to finish.
Filling.
Tin of Corned beef
Tin of chopped Tomatoes.
2 Onions.
Start off with the beef, then the onion, then the tomatoes, add the top and trim, use the egg wash over the pastry and back into a 180 c oven for about 20 mins…maybe 25.
