Hey guys! 
I am back with another festive season recipe! 
Today’s recipe will involve A P P L E s 🍎 
Since I had so many apples on hand, I decided to make use of it to make an iconic pie!!
Cinnamon Apple Pie 🍎🥧 

This recipe yield: one 8 inch pie 🥧

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Recipe & Ingredients: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

_____________________________________ 🥧 Pie Dough 🥧 _____________________________________

Wet ingredients:
170 g Cold Unsalted Butter  |  170 克 牛油
3 Tbsp Cold Water  |   3 汤匙 水

Dry ingredients:
315 g AP flour  |  315 克 面粉
½  Tsp Salt  |  ½ 茶匙 盐
________________________________🍎 Apple Cinnamon Filling 🍏 ______________________________

Wet ingredients:
1 kg Apple (Peeled, Cored & Sliced) | 1 公斤 苹果🍎 (去皮,去核,切成薄片)
½ Lemon (Juice) | ½ 柠檬 (汁)

Dry ingredients:
130g White Sugar  |  130 克 白糖
2 Tbsp AP Flour | 2 汤匙 面粉
1 Tsp Cinnamon Pwd | 1 茶匙 肉桂粉
½  Tsp Salt  |  ½ 茶匙 盐

________________________________________ Toppings  💫 _______________________________________

Wet ingredients:
1 Egg (Beaten) | 1 粒 鸡蛋 (打散)

Dry ingredients:
1 Tbsp White Sugar  |  1 汤匙 白糖
1 Tsp  Cinnamon Pwd | 1 茶匙  肉桂粉

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Instructions: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. In a bowl, add in your Flour and Salt & mix to combine.

2. Once that’s done, add in Cold Unsalted Butter 🧈  & using your fingertips or a fork, break up the butter into the flour. 

3. Mixture will turn yellow and make sure that all the butter is broken up.

4. Next, gradually add in Ice Cold Water & continue to mix until a dough is formed. 
**Note that you don’t need all the water, but if the dough is too dry, add more. The dough should not be too tacky / sticky.

5. Knead the dough with both hands and place it onto a well floured working surface. Work it into a ball, & cover it with cling wrap. Refrigerate it for 1 hour. 

6. Next, peel the apples & core and slice them up.

7. In another bowl,  add in the Sliced Apple, White Sugar, AP. Flour, Salt & Cinnamon Pwd & Lemon Juice. 

8. Mix until combined & all the apples are coated.  Refrigerate it for 30 minutes. 

9. In the meantime, Preheat Oven to 200°C ( 375°F)

10. On a well floured working surface, roll out the pie dough until round & about 3mm thick.

11. Roll the dough around the rolling pin and unroll it onto a pie dish.
**Make sure the dough reaches all edges & trim off exceeds dough if necessary. 

12. Pour in the Apple Filling Mixture & pat it down.

13. Cover the pie up with any design of your liking, either a whole of pie covering the pie up or if you feeling fancy, create grids like this 😀 
**Make Sure to trim excess dough from the edges & pinch the edges to seal them up.

 14. Once covered, brush the pie with the Beaten Egg & Sprinkle on the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture.

15. Cut slots on the top dough to create vents if you are covering the pie up.

16. Bake it for 50 to 60 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and no undercooked pastry remains. 

17. Allow it to cool completely before slicing. 
** Note that for serving wise, Top it off with ice cream & serve
