Baking Pumpkin Pie for the FIRST Time | CHEF SON

Its that time of year for holiday treats! So grab your apron and let’s make this pie. Full recipe below ⬇

Pumpkin Puree:
2 small (pie) pumpkins
• Cut pumpkins in half and remove seeds
• Brush flesh side with oil
• Place on a cookie sheet flesh side down
• Roast in the oven at 400°F for 35-45 mins until tender
• Peel pumpkin skins off and puree the pumpkin until smooth

Pie Crust:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, about 10 sheets or l package
5 tbsp butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
• Mix crumb, sugar, and butter
• Bake at 350°F for 8-10 min

Pie Filling:
1 (15 oz) can or 2 cups of pumpkin puree
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 ground clove
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
• Mix ingredients together in a bowl
• Pour pumpkin mixture into pie crust
• Place on a cookie tray to catch any spills
• Bake at 350°F for 45 min (up to 1 hr)
Cool and Serve 🙂
