Cook and bake with us as we walk you through how to make our favorite kind of Moroccan Pancakes: Rghayef!
Also called Mlawi or Msemen, Rghayef have a crispy, flakey exterior, and a soft, chewy interior! Here, we make two different versions with the same dough: plain and stuffed.
The stuffed pancakes are filled with Khlea (Khlii), a moroccan dried beef, and are served hot with, traditionally with Moroccan Mint Tea.
We also made plain pancakes, which are just as delicious! Most traditionally served hot and topped with honey, growing up Souheil would eat them with cream cheese and jam! Some people like them with Nutella, but Amanda loves them with peanut butter and honey!
This recipe takes some time, but we give you some good tips and tricks to make it a bit easier! We’ll walk you through the entire process and make some jokes, along with the pancakes! 🙂
