How to make the BEST Pineapple Upsidedown Pancakes:
– [ ] Pancake batter
– [ ] White Sugar
– [ ] Brown Sugar
– [ ] Pineapples (fresh or frozen)
– [ ] Heavy Cream
– [ ] Cinnamon
– [ ] Nutmeg
– [ ] Butter
Step 1: Chop your pineapples! Cut them into small pieces. Then make your pancake batter *(When you make your pancake batter, add a teaspoon of the pineapple juice for a stronger pineapple flavor!)*
Step 2: Make your caramel glaze! In a pot on medium low heat, add your butter, white and brown sugar, heavy cream, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg! Stir until it forms a thick caramel like sauce! (Again, you can add a teaspoon of the pineapple juice for a stronger pineapple flavor!)
Step 3: Add your pineapples to the caramel glaze sauce and stir to coat the pineapples!
Step 4: Assemble your pancakes! Start by putting pancake batter on your hot pan, then add your caramel pineapples on top! (MAKE SURE YOU COOK ON MEDIUM HIGH HEAT!) Let the pineapple side cook a bit longer than the other!
Step 5: Cook until fully cooked, then enjoy!
Here are a few tips to ensure that you have the best pancakes!
– [ ] If you accidentally add too much liquid to your pancake batter, you can add a bit of flour to help hold the shape!
– [ ] Add the pineapple juice anywhere you can if you REALLY love the pineapple flavor!
– [ ] If you decide to make the whipped cream, make sure your cream is cold and whip your cream until they are in stiff peaks! You know your whipped cream is ready when you can turn it upside down and nothing falls out! Be sure to not over mix!
