Vanilla extract 1 tsp
All purpose flour 250g

Chocolate/ nutella
Fruits: blue berry, strawberry (you can use any fruits)
Maple syrup for garnishing
Sunflower or vegetable oil for frying.

Put 2 large eggs, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp butter, 200ml of milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 250g, all purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, into a bowl, whisk until a smooth batter consistency has been achieved.

Once the pan and oil are hot, reduce the heat to medium and Pour a small amount of the batter onto the pan and swirl it around until it is evenly and thinly spread over the bottom. Cook pancakes for 30 to 40seconds on each side until golden brown

Spread nutella/ chocolate on the pancake, add blueberries/strawberries then Pancakes can be flavoured by toppings using maple syrup/ honey.
Feel free to add your own toppings.

What is Pancake Day?

Pancake Day is the day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent in the Catholic tradition, and Pancake Day is also known as Shrove Tuesday in the UK. The word ‘Shrove’ is derived from the Old English word ‘shrive’ meaning ‘to confess all sins’.
It is called Pancake Day because it is a traditional way of eating pancakes, as it is a way to consume any stocks of milk, butter and eggs that were forbidden during Lent.
