A wonderful graham crust is with a small amount of butter and egg white. You can make it thin and it gets crispy in the oven. It holds together too.

Saltines is a genericized trademark for soda crackers in the same way that Kleenex is for facial tissue. I’m sure people could come up with several others.

KUDOS for reminding us of Graham Cracker crusts. They make some of my FAVORITE crusts for jelled fillings. EVEN MORE KUDOS for reminding us of ARROWROOT biscuits: I remember them as ‘Animal Crackers’ in the circus wagon box. I might add a few high quality ginger snaps to the mix.

Love Graham Cracker crusts and great for lemon meringue. Where I live, we can buy a box of gc already ground up.
