How To Make Tiny Japanese Fluffy Soufflé Pancakes

hello. thank you for watching my video 🙂 subscribe to see more

-1 egg (separate egg whites and yolk)
-1 tbsp milk (add more if the consistency is too dry)
-1.5 tbsp white sugar
-2 tbsp flour
-1 tsp vanilla extract (optional: pour onto egg yolk mix)
-1 tbsp water for very time you steam the pancakes

things to note:
-the soufflé pancake will start to deflate immediately after it is cooked
-mix the whisked egg whites very gently onto the batter, do not over mix (it will not be as fluffy/airy)
-i used the aluminum foil as a cover, use a lid if you have one instead
-leave the lid on for 30 seconds to 1 minute while it is steaming
-cook on low-medium heat
-check the pancakes to ensure how brown/cooked you’d like them to be
-cooking/steaming time depends on how large your pancake is
-you do not need to add more batter on top of the pancake that is already halfway cooked, i only did it to make it more fluffy and tall
-the method of steaming is used to ensure it is cooked thoroughly
